Why is this even called Second coming of Avarice when Gula is Gluttony?

*whispers* Is that a spoiler? But...but...the gods are already 7. That means they are already complete? Will the current Avaritia be replaced? Or are they actually employing the original 8 sins? And wouldn't that be against Seol's character development? After all, he swore off being greedy.

 

Greed doesn't necessarily have to refer to desiring money. Greed as a sin can mean that you desire things that are material and touchable, just like Lust as a sin doesn't mean that all you want is sex. Lust as a sin can refer to a desire to immaterial and untouchable things examples being power or pleasure; an example of Greed can be money but it can also be excellent armor, a fancy house and car, the latest in technology, etc. Seol swore off being greedy as it related to having a lot of money just because he could; doesn't mean he won't go after other things.

 

There is also being greedy for your friends and family, or companionship, which are positives but are caused by a sin. In this case Greed.

 

A more positive and straightforward way of putting it than I did, but that's basically what my last 2 sentences were trying to get across

 

Just like FMA
greed, he wants to conquer the world because he wants friends.
Lust wants to be loved.
Envy wants to be human.
Pride wants freedom.
Gluttony doesn't want to starve.
I don't know what wrath and sloth desires.

On a side note, who will pick this novel up?

Well I don't know how to say this but I don't think those MTL are readable there are many stories which are dropped and are present there on comrademao but seriously I hate those random at least a good status screen is I need to keep my interest in my favorite novels so I prefer donations rather than MTL

The previous translator mentioned in his last translated chapter that this novel is hard to translate, and needs a dictionary.
I checked the group you mentioned 'comrademao' and I couldn't find how they edit their work. So if the editing is half-assed, it will be a miss.

 

Have you seen what the mtl for this novel looks like? IT IS HORRENDOUS. I can give the raws if you want to try

 

Mates Relax as I said before we are all still waiting for the final decision of the previous translator if he really want to say good bye good night for good to this awesome novel or I change my mind and go back to work like everyone's hoping for, if not then wait for some new decent translator heroes to translate this novel...

it won't be released on NU and you don't need to pay anything to read the MTL it's just a matter of Option only for those who are desperate enough to read some MTL chapters and doesn't like to waste their time and do nothing like me. If you don't want to read MTL version then fine don't force yourself then simple as that.

 

The whole Gluttony thing should also have an explanation in Tokyo Ghoul, with the 'binge eater' Rize. I was imagining a story where she gets help from a psychologist for her 'eating disorder' lol.

Well, if the novel gets picked up and the translation is less than makes sense, I won't be bothered that much.
But, what worries me is if another translator picks it up, and continues from where the MTL reach in their translation, I will drop this novel. I can't read something with missing parts.
