MC is Avarice though, which is a compound sin.
Correct me if im wrong but i thought avarice was a fancy word for greed or extreme greed
yep that's the definition of avarice
Ah i think i mixed in another novel where they had multiple 'sins' as a power and MC had compound ones hiding two. Still his korean name meant 'the son' or that's how he got teased, synopsis mentions 'son of Gula' returning. She 'stroke his hair' when he went to her church.
So in this novel synonyms would represent other people. As Gula is Greed her descendents are related to that.
I'm not sure if the other 'Gods' have one of their own. Guess we'll have to look out for weird named people. Maybe they'll be the ones causing the destruction of that planet and Greed wants to 'keep it'. I think i recall the 'old gods' 'dying' and them taking over and now everything went to shit, lol.
I think that much is pretty obvious, seeing as the title of the story is 'Second Coming of Avarice'
That obviously refers to a 'greedy guy' having a second chance. The rest is concealed in the background for now so there's no such 'obvious' thing.
It's not likely, they are representing what their names mean. Superbia is for Archers because of the pride for having amazing marksmanship. Gula is for Warriors due to greed for strength.
I'd bet Invidia would be for Sorcerers due to envy at other Sorcerers having better spells. LOL
Greedy in a good sense, I think. Perhaps, it is the greed to change his life, make it better...or the greed to rectify his past mistakes.
I think you guys are wrong by mixing Gula and Greed as the same. In this case i believe that Gula is glutonny and Avarice is greed, the title refers as Avarice to the MC (gambling, "going back to the past" and all that stuff).
dude you should not judge that soon, i know u guys really have some good novels on your website and believe me possessing nothing, sca , i am the monarch and many other i tried reading them multiple time and never able to go farther than a single chapter ....you guys doing good job but i really want to say that its not readable nor it meant to be.... y the way i appreciate your hard work. It definitely better than google translate by infinitely smal margin
Reading other theories made me think I was wrong about Gula being gluttony. Now I know I'm not wrong.
Going by Gula is Gluttony, I think warriors are usually under Gula because of their thirst for Wars/Fights
So gluttony is the mother of avarice? highly unlikely.
Note how archers could ONLY go with Superbia and have no choice between two. Being Pride and all.
Gula means Gluttony, that's a fact. Why is the novel called ... Of Avarice? I have no idea, but Gula means Gluttony.
This should stop this argument for a while right....?
No. But Gula is gluttony; Avaritia is greed; that is a fact. As what was previously mentioned in this thread, I also think that title refers to MC.
I suggest we wait for the translation of the explanation of these 7 gods (with the name from 7 deadly sins) in the novel
@A_Passing_Wanderer we are counting on your translations ><
Your image is not showing tho
That's a failure on my part, though I don't really know how to make it show up properly.
All the image is:
Looks like it was pulled from a Wikipedia article about the seven sins with their Latin names and the modern translations
I guess this "Daughter of Luxuria" is Seol's ex gf / adopted sister who came back after realizing that Seol had been contracted (or actually he got invited) and is in Lost Paradise.
Most likely. I was about to say the same thing.
And Poor Yun Seo Rah can´t sleep without her Seol Pillow =/
