LCD The Strange Adventures of a Broke Mercenary

I believe with anime cancellation the novel was also cancelled and I believe it was cancelled too as there were not update since 2018 (around controversy - which is sad as novel was quite good). However he published 10 novels of the mercenary novel since 2018, but nothing since november 2020. Which is kinda odd (but not be really maybe).

 

Looking around Volume 16 should had came out last spring and no one knows what is going one, I would guess this was ended because of his past history on twitter to.

 

Well, I guess another one of the novels that won't be completed.

 

With the latest chapter and everyone in town acting weird and going into the servers. I feel we have a pod people situation. Given the abilities of the nearby ruins Envy mentioned, it's probably actively replacing the people in town. The spider seems to know what's up. Blocking access to the probably tainted well water.

 

Seriously Loren, you admitted yourself that you pass out every time you got serious on a battlefield, it's not that hard to imagine that you were the Beheading Wind, even the last mercenary we ran into thought that was you.

 

It's baffling of why/how he cannot find a job to pay with his skill and reputation from his mercenary days, unless he is just anti social.

 

I mean, if one day I decided that I was some superstar because of some fancy circumstances, I'd first make an appoinment with a psychiatrist, not an idol agent

what can he be? Enlist into the military? Would he even be able to rise in the ranks? Become a bodyguard? Again, this doesn't sound very exciting. Besides, being a bodyguard to some noble personage certainly requires skills that Loren does not possess. All that's left is being an adventurer.

 

Look at it like this. When things get dire enough for Loren's side in a battle, he uses his last resort of going berserk, until he passes out from exhaustion. A passed out Loren is vulnerable to attack, but he always wakes up safe back at camp with his mercenary band, and everyone is celebrating victory.
