So I've read a comment in batotoo and I'm posting the entire comment in here. If anyone could add something on it, thanks in advance!!!:aww::aww::aww:

P.S. btw, the spoiler comment is from "User.508370" (thank youuuu!!!)

The ML is not the 2nd prince, but his older brother the crown prince. They aren't initially together because of his engagement to a foreign princess but he willing to abandon the throne if he could marry her. (It's also revealed later that they were lovers in their past life but only he currently remembers)

In the webnovel, there are a few sections from prince Garret's POV. While he doesn't love her, he didn't want to break his engagement with MC. They're friends who both know that the marriage is political. He is also aware of his brother's feelings, but he doesn't want his brother to give up the throne since he feels like he would make a good king. Instead, he decided to take her as his fiancee until his brother can find a way to break his engagement to marry her. It would be less of a mess if he got engaged to her first and then switched the engagement to his brother. In addition, he doesn't like the og!MC. He and everyone in his group find her extremely annoying and want to rid themselves of her, but they can't since she is the top saint candidate. There are records that show that saints who aren't happy or have bad surroundings can fall to the devil when awaken. They are pretty much forced to take care of her. They also try to fill her whims since it seems like she'd drag MC and other fiancees' reputations if they don't. The prince actually intended to escort MC but he was literally attacked by og!MC right outside the hall with a whole bunch of guests. Since she would have publicly made a scene that would ruin not only the event but the Royal family's reputation, he has to escort her. I actually felt pretty bad for him after reading this. He's really not a bad guy just mistaken on how to go about things. If I remember correctly, he doesn't end up with og!MC.

    DISCUSSION AND THEORY
Haven't started reading the manga yet, and thanks for the spoilers btw. The way I see it, there's emphasis on the heroine's candidate status. Either we go the looking for another candidate route or they find a way to defeat the demon route. I mean, a woman knowingly aiming at an engaged man is by no means a good person. At least on villainess tropes, the villainess could be evil if her family is actually abusing the people, her authority, or plans outright criminal schemes like murder. The only justified take here is if said villainess is reprimanding the rando low ranked noblewoman and reminding her of her place (but seeing the spoiler, its a HUGE relief when a man acknowledges the fact that they're already in a arranged marriage relationship. A high status like royalty normally does not get to choose true love so the least they could is compromise on their future relationship and buckle their choice

I've seen raws up to chapter 3.1 and if this turns into some "misunderstanding" and the prince actually loves the MC then this is shit.
I'd rather he be an idiot who loves the idiot second FL than be an imbecile who stood there, let another woman hug him, broke etiquette, let the bitch speak badly of and accuse the MC.
If this is some "oh no everything happened too fast and I couldn't help her even though I love her and trust that she didn't do anything bad" situation then it's a lot worse than the usual idiot fiancé syndrome who drops his fiancé for some two-faced bitch

This is a repost of my comment on Bato.to. I've read bits and pieces of it through mtl, but I mostly skipped around since I ended up being way more interested in the second prince than the MC. Lol It's not a bad story, but it's pretty basic isekai villainess story. As a protagonist, MC is pretty much what you expect. The only things that really stood out to me were the double reincarnation and the ex-fiance.

The ML is not the 2nd prince, but his older brother the crown prince. They aren't initially together because of his engagement to a foreign princess but he willing to abandon the throne if he could marry her.
He's really not a bad guy just mistaken on how to go about things. If I remember correctly, he doesn't end up with og!MC

Garrett really doesn't want to take the throne to the point that he's almost afraid of it. He's also one of the most sane brocons in fiction. CP used to talk about giving it up to marry Rebecca and he pretty much cried over it (when he was like 13-14). He did plan to put a little distance between him and MC to partially to reduce the anxiety of having to break their engagement, but the condemnation event is completely out of left field. He also thought that he could intentionally ruin his reputation a bit, so his faction would give up on him becoming king. He gets severely scolded not only by his parents but also by his brother who throws him against a wall. MC and him do make up.
Towards the end, it's mentioned that he decides putting off finding a fiance as a sort of reflection. Personally, I think he probably had enough of all of relationships by the end of the novel. Lol

He asked his brother to help pick a b-day present (hair clip) for MC since he wouldn't be able to really do so on his own with damaging MC's reputation. As a return present on his birthday, he asked for a picture of her wearing the hair clip and gave it to his brother. His brother isn't aware that he meant to give this to him in the first place and asked what he wants in exchange. Garrett takes the wristcuffs he's wearing and refuses to be given new ones.
This traditional continues every year and he even got him to design MC's graduation dress with brother's colors. Everyone is just amazed at his brother complex.
When those two are finally married, he realizes that he needs to actually pick out a present for her. Under the guidance of his brother, he ends up giving her a wheat breeding report. He was already in the magical engineering department and had continued breeding as a hobby. MC was ecstatic about it, but it took Garrett a few years to realize that breeding reports aren't usually what most women want for a present. Lol

It was supposedly a temporary thing and they had a contract. He and his og fiance both planned to break it eventually.

How is the stupid saint ending? I prefer she is not actually saint or her power is vanished. She is so annoying. Tbh i read chapter 2 and i want to applaud MC's patient. I really want to slap this stupid b**** i can see other men are so trouble but i also don't like them. I feel so bad for their fiancee.

I don't like what this story is trying to do. It's not the first one to do this but it's becoming too much of a farce. This whole charade where a saintess must be obeyed and made happy even if she knows fuck all and acts like the spawn of satan is ridiculous. Why does no body stop to think that a saintess, by their very definition is someone who is divine, noble, holy, thinks of others before themself etc. ? So, the bizarre thing in these stories is that little bitches like this are abhorrent and everyone realizes that but they try to placate her in fear of retaliation, the fuck???? If she was a true saintess to begin with, she'd never "retaliate" that is not a thing that saints and saintesses do. They're all about forgiveness and saving people and all that crap.

These stories like to borrow the concept of a saintess in name only. Basically, she is (potentially) someone with high magical powers who can ruin them or save them. Why not just say that and drop these gimmicks of "evil heroes" and "bratty selfish saintesses", it's like a mockery of the concept

Yes and no, in function of the setting a saintess can change. Like the hero for example, a hero is a normal person who did something judged heroic or really important for the country, like war heroes or scientist who find a cure to X fatal sickness. But you have stories where the hero is a chosen one from the start, before doing anything to be called like that.

Here the setting of the story said that a saintess candidate have a light magical attribute, nothing else. Seeing her behavior, as a royalty I will probably take care of her life silently, like an accident. Since the story didn't tell yet, any reason to keep her alive.

But yeah, you can't just ignore the setting of the story and said it's bad because it's not your vision of the subject. The story isn't perfect, but as a reader we still need to be fair.

I'm not talking about the fact that the vision of the story doesn't align with what I like. That's different. By definition, a saint/saintess is " a person who is recognized as having an exceptional degree of holiness, likeness, or closeness to God".

These stories use these words and attribute contradictory meanings to them. By definition, a saintess cannot be a selfish brat, that contradicts the meaning of the word. I do agree with you to a certain degree about heroes but I don't see how this misconstrued concept of a saintess is acceptable. I think that authors just like buzz words such as "villainess, saintess, etc." And they couldn't care less about how they present such characters.

Also concerning your second point "Here the setting of the story said that a saintess candidate have a light magical attribute, nothing else. Seeing her behavior, as a royalty I will probably take care of her life silently, like an accident. Since the story didn't tell yet, any reason to keep her alive."

=> I don't know if you're aware of spoilers or not but my comment was based on future events and explanations where it is said that everyone including Royalty knew she was faking being bullied and she herself was the bully yet they turned a blind eye to her actions because if a saintess is angered, theit wrath could ruin the country. So you're wrong, they wouldn't take care of her silently and that is the whole point. They are placating her and would not harm her because she is a potential saintess, whatever that means in this story.

By definition, a Hero is a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.
But some stories uses this word and attribute contradictory meanings to them. Because these stories decides that a hero is a job class or a chosen one. Saintess is the same.
You have the demon too, his definition is an evil spirit or devil, especially one thought to possess a person or act as a tormentor in hell / a forceful or skilful performer of a specified activity.
But there are a ton of stories where demons are just another races, even friendly sometimes.

And if you want, without being a saintess there is the pope who can have the same definition, but historically I let you read about the pape Alexandre VI Borgias as an example.

I won't say it's good or bad to respect the original definition of something in a fictional story because there is no meaning for me. It depends on the stories itself.

Edit : So you're wrong, they wouldn't take care of her silently and that is the whole point.
If you read it again you will see "as a royalty I will probably" I was talking about what I do in their place, I wasn't clear enough, my bad.

OG!FL was a reincarnated person. In her past life, she was an ugly girl and had a miserable life. Then when she got reincarnated as Charlotte aka the heroine in an otome game, she thought God gave her a cute face and good life because of her past. Starting that point, she does what she wants. She thought people doesn't mind and still love her as she is the heroine and there is called a GAME CORRECTION where in anything she does, the game setting will adopt on it or the game will do something for her. (She doesn't know that a saint can fall into a devil when awaken until Rebecca (FL) pointed it out to her when they met in an inn)

OG!FL is now studying in the temple. She was been re-educated by priest there. She seems not to change much. So people call her 'The Unfortunate Saint Candidate'. She also seduced an apprentice priest, named Keith, who came from a fallen noble. Apparently, these two made a scandal (?) they do premarital sex inside the temple (MTL said that).

Charlotte also worship a handmade voodoo (straw) doll and put curses on rebecca by using it. When Rebecca (with Ethan) confronted Charlotte, it seems like she was already shallowed by the darkness (devil). She talks about how the world is for her, and told Rebecca that she will kill all her children before they were born. She seems obsess with the game since she always pointing out bugs and mistakes on programming as Rebecca became the Crown prince's fiance. She also pointed out if they fix the bug, Rebecca should play her role and sacrifice herself for her happiness.

In her outburst, an evil magic power leaked to Charlotte's body and tried to attack Rebecca. But before she does, Letty (I think the beastgirl Rebecca saved) attack Charlotte. Eventually, Charlotte got pushed and hit her head then got unconscious. She locked up in the temple.

Well, in the end, Charlotte was found dead with her lover Keith in the Temple. It seems like Charlotte magic exploded which killed them both together.

I pity Keith for liking Ogfl to the point where he had to get into a scandal with her at the expense of his apprenticeship (I found that very unfortunate unless of course if he's an actual dck...) at the temple plus he's also from a fallen noble family so there's probably an expectation for him to succeed in the temple... Are there any more descriptions about him?
