Was going to wait until Friday/Saturday but decided to just finish the main story.

    • Marquise Kellydon tries to help her son escape from prison but as she was helping his escape with a Kellydon knight, she was caught by Hennock. The Marquise shamelessly tried to appeal to the high priest to use Seria to make up for Cassius's wrongdoings. Hennock got mad and lectured the Marquise, asking why the stern had to sacrifice for her son and how she can be so shameless. The Marquise and the knight was taken away by paladins and Cassius was thrown into another prison (the Kellydon knight had broke the previous prison before).
    • Hennock told Cassius that his mother would also be sentenced to death for helping him. Cassius realized that the had planned it beforehand knowing she would try to save him and waited for it to catch her in order to get her executed as well. Cassius was upset thinking if he had a bit more time, Lina could've been the only Saint and Stern.
    • After Hennock had left, Callis paid him a visit. He came without his armor so he was dripping with blood from injuries of the beasts. Callis told him that the knights of Kellydon were all killed and even Nissos died. The beasts ate them. Cassius was shocked to find out his brother died and Callis told him that it was his fault. It was there that Callis executed him with thoughts that the country might not even survive since the palace might collapse and Callis's execution might not finish so he did it himself.
    • Nissos was actually alive and still helping defend against beasts. He was amazed at the Berg knights' strength when Callis came to tell him that he had lied to his brother. Nissos didn't want to ask more. A bell rang like crazy and knights got on horseback in a hurry. Seemed Miyut had became unconscious and they asked for Seria. The highest state of emergency was called.
    • Demonic beasts came pouring in and only the Berg knights remained fighting as the others had to rest. Blizzard also approached. Miyut had suffered a back injury and was carried away. But even after Miyut left, their armor temperature did not drop indicating another Stern is nearby. Elliot told the knights to not fall out as another Stern is coming and to hold on until then.
    • Lesche went to check the flag where Lina was hiding before and a bunch of broken relics lying around. He caught sight of the contaminated stern insignia. The name 'Seria' kept appearing on it. Lesche got upset and stabbed it to make the name disappear, calling Leigel 'crazy bastard'. He tore the nearby flag to pick up the insignia. It was when he picked it up, his chest tightened and then he realized he had vomited out blood.
    • Elliot informed Seria that Lesche had gone to the border and will retreat soon. Seria nodded her her and focused on her task. A high priest came to tell Seria that the holy relics had arrived but it'll only be temporary since the ground is about to collapse soon. When they find solid ground they'll put up the relics.
    • Lesche had arrived and Abigail was back at Seria's side. She told Seria to go see her husband. Knights started to scream out that demons are climbing out from the frozen lake and glacier. Abigail yelled at Seria to keep running. One of them tried to grab Seria. Seria witnessed the demons coming out of the beasts' corpses when they were sliced. Seria kept running to Lesche. The high priest was counting down the meters to high far they can stay from her or they will freeze to death.
    • When Seria approached Lesche, she felt odd. Lesche didn't turn around and kept killing the beasts in front of him. Seria wondered if he was ignoring her on purpose and grabbed his hand. When she looked at his eyes, they were cold. She could feel magic in his hands but they weren't contaminated magic since he was still wearing the constellation armor and there was no way someone corrupt would be able to wear it. The ground them began to crack and Lesche grabbed her body as they were about to fall.
    • Elliot was upset as Lesche and Seria had gone missing. It was the first time the paladins and knights had seen him angry. He was calling them useless for not knowing where they went and tell them to report where they had start going missing. The blizzard had gone severe. Since Lesche is gone, Elliot will have to take temporary control. Apparently Lina had left 1 relic intact so they're trying to bring that back up. Abigail wouldn't listen to orders as she argued with Elliot that she only takes orders from Seria. Abigail is falling off the formation to try to find them and Elliot wanted her to continue in the defense so they can restore the relics. Also she might risk her life to find Seria. Abigail told him that a world without Seria meant nothing to her and left.
    • Leigel thinks if he takes over Lesche's body thinking that he can finally get the moon's love if he's in the body of the one she loves.
    • Seria began to notice that Lesche was contaminated from the wrist up under the cracked armor. Lesche hasn't been fully taken over yet but he himself knew and told Seria to stay away. He was slowly becoming demonic and he felt it. Seria tried to use her divine power but it didn't work. Apparently he had been contaminated since Vyugazen tried to bite him. Lesche told her that her knight will come try to get her and told Seria to leave with her knight. Lesche's skin started to burn as the contamination had reached the armor where it wasn't cracked. Seria told him to take the armor out but he wouldn't since it would be difficult to protect her if he did become a demon.
    • Seria cried and Lesche said he always makes her cry and don't know how he could leave her like this. Lesche continued to keep the beasts at bay from them. Seria tried to purify him but her cleansing power was too slow compare to the contamination. Lesche suddenly held her shoulder and told her that when he first heard her confession he felt the words were engraved in his heart but he no longer felt that way since it should be engraved with her name. It was then Seria felt odd and noticed Lesche holding onto the stern insignia under his cloak.
    • He offered his heart to the insignia just as Liegel came out of hiding and tried to take over Lesche's body but then failed when a bracelet Lesche had on him protected him. It was Lina's bracelet. When Seria ran to Lesche, she could see that his heart was already being taken. The number 1 disappeared from the insignia and Turban who got released came out as a shape of a dragon. Turban bit Liegel and rushed at him. The two beasts went at each other but Liegel could not defeat Turban. Every time Turban used his divine powers, things purified easily around them. Liegel's corpse was torn in half and fell to the snow. He died calling for his moon and trying to crawl to Seria, asking her to kiss him just once before Turban's feet crushed him.
    • Seria cried out to Turban to give it back as she was holding onto Lesche. Turban didn't answer but pushed divine power into Lesche's heart. The power shone from the wrist where he had worn the bracelet. Power was also poured into Seria. Seria realized the bracelets were the connection between Turban, her and Lesche. They immersed into water for a while and when she opened her eyes, in a space that reminded her of Turban's space. She found her memories and realized somethings. Seria was always supposed to marry Lesche. Lesche never married Lina in the past life. It was Mies pretending to be Lesche. Seria was talking to Lesche's dead body in the space saying it was nice to meet him. Seria said it didn't matter if they live or die if they will see their past. She thinks it would be fun to see him propose to her while being embarrassed though. It was then she stepped forward.
    • A long time ago, Seria was the only Stern. Her power was so immense that regular humans can't even be around her. She was always bandaged to cover her bruising and people stay around trying not to touch her or they would get burned from her power if they're too weak. One day she tripped and almost fell when someone grabbed her to prevent her from falling. He commented thinking that the stern only had weak people around her and asked why she's living alone. Seria thought he was rude. A priest told her that person was the archduke of Berg and that he always cover his face with a helmet. Seria wondered why he came and why he gave her a Berg heirloom.
    • Later on there were marriage talks set up between Berg and the temple. Seria got upset asking if he's crazy since he might die if he stays close to her. Lesche told her that he's not a weakling. Lesche also told her that Stern had chosen him so there's no reason to refuse. Seria wanted to know his real reason and he said he doesn't know but the purpose of Berg is to protect her anyway. He also said she look lonely. He left her the Berg memorandum and told her to return it when they're married.
    • After they got engaged, one day Seria was upset to always get called for subjugations. Lesche said that she's just too nice to refuse and told her to try to be haughty next time. He said he'll look forward to seeing that next time. Lesche always visit her and one day he came with two small boxes. One was the blue gem shaped like a flower which was custom to give a bride and the other was just a blue gem. Seria asked why the blue diamond and he said that they're the same color as her eyes.
    • With the relic from Berg, Seria was able to learn to control her power better and she was able to pour her power into the blue gems. In return for all the gifts, Seria wanted to help him relieve his burden.
    • It was later on during a subjugation, the day right before their wedding when they were called to dispatch. Seria found out about his bandages wrapped around his wrist when her fiance was vomiting blood and she went to him. They were covering burnt marks. She realized that Lesche couldn't handle her power and was already dying. During that crazy subjugation, Seria ended up being the only one alive. She questioned why and hated the world. She wanted a normal life just once. She didn't want this power and don't want a family so she wouldn't expect anything from the beginning. She also want to meet Lesche again. When she sees him again, she'll give him a bunch of red jewels that reminds her of his eyes. When Stern died, her explosive power exploded and everything around her was erased except for Lesche.
    • Turban had wrapped Lesche's heart in divine power and when Lecshe's body disappeared, Seria tried to ran. She eventually regained consciousness. Abigail hugged her. Linnon called for a healing priest. When Seria asked about Lesche, Abigail told her that her husband is not human but a monster. But then she saw Lesche and jumped out of bed to run to him. Joel and Hennock were surprised to see her awake. In the midst of all that a paladin came to tell them that there's urgency since the temporary boundary they had set up will disappear in 2 hours. Apparently Lesche had been defeating demons for hours and Seria realized what Abigail had meant, that he was so strong, he's like a monster.
    • Seria cursed at Turban since she thought he would resolve the demon issue on his own, but she was grateful for Turban for pouring his divine power into Lesche to bring him back. Seria wanted to go to laurel manor before the border collapse. Linnon immediately jumped up and got to working. When they were on the horse heading there, Lesche asked why she wanted to go there. She told him she wanted to check the basement.
    • After Seria had remembered her past, she also remembered learning some things from the Berg memorandum. The basement was creep and filled with skeletons of beasts. Seria was glad she was with Lesche or she would've been scared. Seria told him to put her down when they reached where she had gotten the circlet before. Seria infused the circlet with divine power before putting it back. It was then the beast skeletons around them started moving and Seria almost got scared but knew they were the warriors that Berg was supposed to keep guard over. The skeleton beasts ran towards the mountains and they returned to the borders where knights were waiting. They almost faint when they saw the skeletons. No questions were asked. Lesche fell from Seria as he told her that he'll see her later. They went back to their respective roles.
    • Abigail told Seria that if Seria hasn't been safe, she was about to throw Elliot to the beasts.
    • Two high priest came to ask about the skeleton beasts and Seria told them that the star guardian had left her a message that just before the world was destroyed powerful warriors infused with the power of stars were sent. Turban never told her that but it was true.
    • Reason why it was kept a secret is because people would fight over the circlet and Berg who is the guardian of the circlet might try to overthrow Berg. So the secret was hidden in the memorandum.
    • The boundary slowly recovered and after several days, the beasts were subdued. Lina's corpse was also discovered. It remained a secret to outsiders. Lesche had told Seria what happened at the last moment with Lina, that her skin was all contaminated. But now she was completely human with a silver twig pierced on her chest. Juvelude came and told Seria that he's thinking of leaving his position. He had wanted to leave before to dedicate the rest of his life to atone for Lina. Juvelude had some hair in respect to her death. Seria did the same. A white cloth was placed over her face.
    • When Seria left, Lesche was outside waiting for her. She smiled at him but he was upset she had kept walking around. He asked her if she's trying to lose her legs. Seria told him that the priest had said she can walk a short distance. He told her that she had said that many times already. She said she can't lie down when there's a battle against beasts. Lesche told her to just call for him or the frontline knights to carry her. Seria didn't want to take the knights from fighting since it might slow down the subjugation.
    • Seria wondered why Lesche was here though since she thought the subjugation was still ongoing and he took her outside to show Miyut, Abigail, Linnon, and the knights had returned. The subjugation had ended. Apparently with the skeletal beasts' help, they can now finish their normal subjugation much faster and the skeletons knew to disappear and return to the manor on their own after it's over.
    • Seria told him that there was something she had forgot to say. She didn't get to say it when he died earlier so she told him she likes him and he frowned complaining why she changed her mind when she said she loved him before. Seria corrected herself and said she does love him. Lesche's expression softened but then she told him not to make people's heart flutter. He asked what makes her heart flutter. She asked if he already forgot and he told him he can't. They kissed and the knights continue to approach so Seria told him they'll go home. She wanted to sleep for days but she knows Lesche won't leave her alone. She can't even complain since it'll put her at a disadvantage. The sun shining over the knights' armors reminded of the of bright star guardian. She looked up at the sky.

    <end of main story>

Ending seemed a bit rush but it was a good ending. Lina did die but she also got her short redemption right before she died. Lesche survived thanks to Turban. Still nothing on how the beasts appeared but it seems they're on their way to finishing the Great War against them.

I'll continue whenever the side stories come out.

Abigail  anyway, I'll be waiting for Abi's and Linon's (OR Abi's and Alliot's) love story, if there'll be one :blobamused:

I wanna say Lesche leave her alone, but for the sake of having children in the following side chapters, I'll just say KEEP IT IN MODERATION!!

Anyways, thatst a very good read. This is my favourite novel so far. They're one of the loveliest couples I've read so far. Love Lesche and Seria~ hope we get babies in the future ::blobcatsmile::

    Thanks for the updates!

NovelUpdates failing me with alerts... Thank you so much, NohrNeir!

It does feel a bit rushed but I guess the author wants to instill a sense of urgency? Sucks though that:

    (1) Cassius' death was too easy, mother and son should've gone through a bit more suffering
    (2) poor Callis only got to avenge Seria from Cassius' and his mothers' abuses. He got nothing else after that, unless we see more of him in the side stories. Yes, he did a lot of dumb things in the first place but he was also tainted so I wanna go easy on him a little bit thinking that the magi influenced his actions.
    (3) Lina didn't have a redemption arc, more of a redemption moment. And when it did happen, she was already on the brink of death anyway. Would've been nice if she stayed alive for a bit longer to have her moment, not just her pre-death epiphany and the death scene. It could've been her muttering she's sorry, or something nonsensical as a nod to everything, including her insecurities & struggles, finally being over, or the hope that with the choice she just made, she would become her own person, an actual Lina, not Moon copy number ###.

I hope the sidestories aren't grossly, disgustingly sweet. Fluff is good, but I don't want a "Dear My Friend" ending as a sidestory that's nothing but dumb moments with no connection to the main story. I don't want a "Lady to Queen" set of sidestories either that are just so mundane, it'd be a waste of time to read that we'd regret even look at it. Hopefully, they'd be more about: spring in the Laurel Manor, Linon & Bibi slowly becoming but not quite actually a tsundere couple, Callis after the main story (hopefully he doesn't kill himself like in Seria's "novel" version). And lastly, Seria & Lesche having a quiet moment together. Maybe a joke about doing naughty things, but mainly a peaceful time together, and maybe the possibility of a baby Berg on the way? That's kinda cheesy and cliche in these novels but I'm sure many would squeal for that moment.

Thinking about it now, I think I'd prefer a sidestory of Lesche telling Seria he wants a baby and he won't stop til they have one. :blobsmirk: So even though the story will end there, we can all just imagine that they ended up with a few too many Berglings.:blobrofl:

Why in the world am I only seeing this now??

Thank you so much for the spoilers. You're the real MVP of this thread.
I also think this was a bit rushed. Also, there are some problems left unsolved. CALLIS, for example. And then what happened to Kellydon.

Man, I can't say that I don't understand Marquess Kellydon from wanting to save her child. Also, Cassius was basically brainwashed. Kind of sad for them. Can you imagine, if Marquis Kellydon (the dad), didn't cheat on their mom and had an illegitimate child, they would have been a perfect family. Circumstances change when you look in the perspective of others. This shit is making me sad.

Cassius was brainwashed but even before then, he was dangerously mean to Seria, but also used her to gain political clout, so I'm not really sad for him, or the Marchioness. She has 2 sons but prioritised only her eldest. I'm just glad Nissos is safe and was even helful. And I don't know about them being a perfect family without Seria & her mother. The Marchioness and Cassius had the makings of villains. The marquis himself is just overall irresponsible. He holds the power in their house but is blind to many of its issues. At least now, their family has some hope with Nissos as the heir apparent.

****Editing past posts on spoiler threads and labeling it as discussion for anyone who wants to skip straight to spoilers

TYSM!!!! Back when I didn't have a NU acct I would still come back to check this thread every week. I'm a bit sad that the main story is completed but I'm glad that Lina finally died, however, I wish she had died by public execution w/ a list of her crimes read to the public. I guess the last minute redemption route was more appealing to the author ???? While I loved the story, I felt that the ending of the main story could've been better. I agree that it was a bit rushed

    1. Lina & Callis
The ending went against my expectations of a satisfying, thorough punishment to be FORMALLY bestowed on Callis and Lina (ex. a public condemnation event like execution or Lesche persuades emperor to declare Lina's body to be hung outside the castle gates or Callis stripped of title & demoted to commoner).
    - I guess Callis being released from Lina's brainwashing for him to realize the full extent of his actions towards Seria and being rejected by her is punishment enough for him but I felt unfulfilled. Just remembering his accusation of Seria harming Lina the first time Lina disappeared under the moon and "went back to her OG world" still annoys me to no end; she may have had a bad reputation but she wasn't verbally or physically abusive to Lina and she had been trying to improve her image since her transmigration some time ago. Furthermore, she was someone he allegedly cared for back then and he chose to paint a negative image of her in his mind. Ik some of his behavior was a result of the brainwashing but I do think that he's still just as culpable.

    2. The skeletons awoken from the basement of Berg mansion
Tbh, it was a great conclusion for otherworldly reinforcements to have joined the battle in defending Berg territory yet it also seemed a bit out of left field that they existed in the first place. Maybe it's because I'm just reading the spoilers and don't have a full grasp of the novel, I didn't sense any foreshadowing that pointed to their presence. They did talk about Seria and Lesche discovering the skeletons during their first stay at the mansion but it didn't leave that much of an impression or room for connection to the ending.
    - IMO, the content at the end seemed to have been focused on clarifying the depth of Seria's divine power in different timelines so an ending where Seria momentarily had a burst of divine power which eradicated the demons would've made more sense to me. Seria was so powerful that her physical vessel couldn't contain her power in one of the previous timelines and this would've brought it to a full circle. Didn't she explode when Lesche died in one of the timelines and her power wiped out everything in the vicinity?

    3. The temple in the aftermath of Lina's disappearance
Were they ever punished for enabling Lina lol? They cared more about how Sterns & Saints would improve their public image and covered up Lina's involvement in the death of Juvelude, the high priest. It's an ongoing trope for a holy establishment to be in collusion w/ the empire or for them to have their own faction w/ the goal of increasing their power in the empire but I find it odd there were no repercussions. Lesche technically also has some holy power and it would've been great if Lesche and Seria had temporary control to eradicate temple of corrupt priests or w/e

    4. Kellydens
Cassius was demoted to a commoner before his death but the whole family should have had their titles stripped under the excuse that Cassius's treason represents the involvement of their whole household lol

Author hasn't released side stories and I'm about to lose my sh** if they don't decide to continue it :(
I must know if / when / how many little berglings will be born and what they look like..... Like green hair + red eyes, silver hair + blue eyes, or one that takes after the appearance of one parent in eye & hair color but born of the opposite gender.....

I hope this gets a manhwa adaptation. If "There were times when i wished you were dead" got one despite being unbearable tragedy p*rn, then this should get one too.

the marchioness paid for it for helping her son escape, while the other two helped with the subjugation and were fighting well into the frontlines. And the house did lose the heir, even if Nissos is still alive.

    what happy thoughts :blobuwu:

true! I agree! Seria and Lesche in pictures! I wanna see!

Is this novel well-known? What probability of it getting an adaptation?

Also would love to see a manhwa adaptation. The promo looked really nice so if it's the same artist or similar art style I wouldn't mind. There's a high possibility it might get a manhwa since it was #1 sales on ridi for rofan throughout its releases so it's also popular in Korea.

Agree with this point that I wished author put more emphasis on it. I almost forgot about the skeletons too.

Well only Cassius is demoted because it was his own words and mistake. The Marquis cut him off with his actions as he chose to want to keep his family from falling. It wasn't a whole household involvement because the reason why he got demoted is due to his personal words to Seria. At that time the Marquis and Nissos were busy defending the border and doing their job while Cassius wasn't.

****Editing past posts on spoiler threads and labeling it as discussion for anyone who wants to skip straight to spoilers

Ahh I should clarify that I know the whole household wasn't involved in the collapse of the border and Lina fiasco, it was only Cassius, I just have a personal vendetta against the Kellydens b/c child abuse & neglect makes me sick. It doesn't seem like there are legal consequences for mistreating an illegitimate child as dirt since that seems to be accepted, commonplace behavior in that world (unless it's a setting where Seria is an illegitimate royal that becomes crown princess and has her own faction, giving her enough power to kill a maid on the spot for spilling tea on her dress) so I would have schemed to try to involve the family in Cassius's behavior by:

    - claiming something absurd like "the Marquis urged Cassius to instigate a rebellion against the empire using the collapse of the border as the signal, the prince who went missing was a chess piece"
    - or a half truth like "the Kellydens hated the sight of the illegitimate child so much they used Cassius's collusion w/ Lina to plot Seria's death, he alrd tried to drown her as a child".
****It doesn't matter if there's any validity to the statements, Lesche could prob help w/ planting fake evidence

I'm thinking about other royalty isekais where there's usually that one noble family in history who was brought down to ruin because of an individual's actions. (Not sure how this would've worked out if Seria was to pursue this against her former family but one can only hope for success)
MC states that she's trying to change the OGplot b/c in the OGplot crown prince didn't know he was cursed to switched bodies after snusnu, so he tried to get her brother, a royal court physician, to find a cure for what he believed was a physical ailment, not magic. CP was so paranoid from years of assassination attempts that he eventually thought the brother was trying to kill him after he was caught gathering "poisonous" grass, when it turned out what he collected had the intended medicinal effects the crown prince was seeking for. I believe the outcome of CP's claim of brother's "assassination plot" resulted in the execution of the whole family and obliteration of the duchy to make an example that one person wrongdoing = death of whole family.

The marquis and Nisos redeemed themselves a bit by the end when it seems like they carry some guilt for Seria's abuse and contributed to the fight - especially Nisos when he confronted Cassius and told him what he was doing was wrong but ugh....I feel so unfulfilled
I'm not ordinarily a bloodthirsty person irl, I don't personally believe in carrying weird grudges for long periods of time and I'm actually pretty uncomfortable w/ "eye for an eye" situations, it's more like I unconsciously associate titles that include the word "villainess" w/ revenge plots against the people who discarded abused MCs. The abuse MCs experience in these settings are very extreme and the end goal of the plot is usually some grand retribution (Death is the Only Ending for the Villainess, Villainess Reverses the Hourglass, Villainess Lives Twice, The Villainess is a Marionette).

Ofc, the novel instead decided to focus on Seria living her best life, unbothered, w/ people who appreciate her. Focusing on the self is actually a much healthier way to cope w/ abuse and I'm very happy w/ the author's decision to keep Seria's character development and relationship w/ Lesche as the main focus, but I'm just upset for OGSeria's behalf for having her self worth destroyed by people who were supposed to be her family and having a nonexistent support system due to isolation.

Please author, take away the Kellyden estate.....

lol I think you read too much revenge knovels. This isn't one of them. While the family was bad in neglecting her, I personally wouldn't want Nissos to fall just because of his family. He is moving in the right path. So in the end, I would hope that when he takes over his family, he'll do better. In the end, this novel isn't even political as we barely get anything on the other royal children fighting for the throne. All we know is one of the prince went down and there's still one prince and one princess left. Even with the princess, we never got her name. The emperor also doesn't seem to care about his wives or children as he only cared for his dead empress who didn't leave him any children. The focus was just more on Seria's background and that was resolved.
