If you're looking for drama, it's on Reddit. r/noveltranslations. Search "tutorial is too hard announcement." If you guys didn't catch it, we're trying to amend the schedule. The free releases will try to be 2-3 chapters per week.
Oh thanks for pointing me there! I never go on reddit so would never have thought of it. Unfortunately, as expected, some entitled ignorant folks on their just couldn't keep their opinions to themselves... Honestly, I posit the KR translation scene is pretty different from the CN scene which seems to churn out chapters like... a Chinese sweat shop lol. Good KR translators are not as high in supply and there are good projects that still languish for lack of consistent, quality translations (or are just plain dropped). I appreciate all your work Pyrenose and good luck! I'm just happy that someone's actually translating this novel and have the patience to bear even a 1/week schedule (though I'm sure many would not have such a tolerance). At least there's hope of this novel being finished one day instead of others like Possessing Nothing, God of Music, or Reincarnator... among many others lol.
Translator is trying to get official permission to translate, so he took them down as a sign of good faith. No word when or if they will be put back.
good luck trying to earn money by doing fan translations. wrong time to try to do it and wrong kind of novel..... while yes, there are several patreons getting huge amounts of money, these are cn novels with a thousand or so chapters and can give up to a hundred advance chapters. most korean novels only have a few hundred chapters so unless you are going to cut these chapters down into bit size which woudl infuriate everyone reading it....heh... not to mention that since WN has a partnership with munipia now and most kr novels are going there...............dmcaaaaaaaaa dmcaaaaaaaaa
WW should be earning quite a bit off of revenue. You just have to keep TLing until it becomes popular. And tutorial was on the popular side.
you are comparing a new site with one novel thats pretty short vs a site that is one one of the oldest with more than 20 novels on their site and most of them are thousands and thousands of chapters long. lets not even talk about the amount of chapters of WW put out vs TTTH.... i don't think anyone should encourage their delusions that they will be able to live off translating a short novel and become the next WW. while you're at it, why not compare TTTH to WN as well or google.
There's probably no chance of getting it licensed , It will be the same case as Omniscient Reader where web novel bidded more and then blah blah blah drama of translator going there
Long as it's translated I don't care. A small group starting out or the evil Qidian. At this point if we could get a chapter or two every three days I'll be satisfied. If there's a Patreon I'll join. If it requires spirit stones... well, I'll probably have to seriously consider that elite membership crap.
Yup, off the top of my head they have taken over TLing Taming Master, Reincarnator, and I Alone Level Up. All KR novels and I Alone Level Up only got DMCAed a couple days ago so they are only going to keep going after more novels until its just them and WW left, then they will bleed WW dry by sheer volume and happily continue the near monopoly they enjoy in the chinese market. Whats worse is Ive gone over there out of frustration to finish a few novels I dropped when they picked them up, and the translation quality standards over there are about on the level of poorly edited MTL in several cases, and its comical going from where you can tell the "amateur" translators stopped to where the "professional" translators started and watch the dramatic change in the amount of effort that goes into the release of a single chapter
so Basically this novel is dead? sigh. this is actually one of the few novels that I find good and now it's not continuing. SHIT!
@tides is right. This thinking is very naive. I learnt it the hard way since I run a website myself. Even Lezhin comics cannot even afford to stay afloat and relied on government handouts. Publishing is a low profit business. You usually make no profit unless you are very big. Many start because of the cultural significance of books
