Hey guys, so I stockpiled TITH for too logn that I forgot some details. Can someone remind me why Ho Jae doesn't gain stats or new skills as level-up rewards anymore? Would be appreciated ^_^. Oh, also, can someone give me the chapter where the Hell Difficulty girl (that Ho Jae is nurturing) fought his mirage? I've been thinking about re-reading that chapter but I can't find it ;/

Funny you should ask that. A few posts ago I asked a similar question and the answer was chapter 111.
He got so powerful that the stat numbers are now worthless and can't be used to quantify him. His true strength is beyond the level he's currently identified as. Regarding skills, I think it's because there's nothing left for the system and tutorial to offer him. He's already capable of replicating or creating anything it could give.

I can understand that they can't quantify his stats because Gods don't even know what his true strenght is (what with him hiding it and all), but I still don't understand or remember the explanation of why he doesn't gain stats anymore. If the reason ends up being "you don't gain level-up rewards because you're too stronk for your level"...... >_>
I think that the stat ups are tied into how levels are quantified and developed. So for example, and this is not precise, persons at say level 20 would all have stat gains to reflect it. and they might all have stats around the range of 40-60. If someone had a str of 200 or greater at the same level, they won't get any level bonuses for str. Based on the rules, IIRC, if that person with 200 str had stagnated and didn't raise it until he was of a much higher level then on subsequent level ups he'd start to gain more str.
Stats are in simplest sense the reflection of the challenger's growth. Just like what Ho-Jae said, levels were just the reflection of one's caliber. You didn't grew because of the stat number, rather because you grew the stats increased. Just like the example Ho-Jae gave that if someone who is an SS Awakened warrior entered the Tutorial again, he will not start at level 1 but at level 50. Ho-Jae didn't get stat increases anymore since the stats reflects the physical growth of Ho-Jae, in which he didn't get growth anymore. Rather he levels up because he refined his sword techniques and created new skills, this then got reflected to a supposed level where he is equal in power.

Hm, thanks. It's weird though, as I was pretty sure that while the level reflected the strenght, the stat gains were different. As for exemple afaik when Ho Jae had his very first level up, he didn't particularly train his body or whatever. He just became stronger naturally as a level-up reward (stat gain). If I recall correctly. And that goes against the "stat gains actually only are a visual representation of your progress" idea imo.
The thing is that MC by now already broke out in strengh level to what the Tutorial was meant to increase to the minimun, besides gaining level is not sorely dependant of the actions taken in the tutorial, by increasing its strengh in action besides the one enforced by the tutorial one can still increase its level. For example MC had been growing outside the tutoria parameter for a while but only after he properly rested the system and his body caugth up with his grown, that why he jumped behind level 100 before ending the tutorial.
