Reading the first 10 chaps, why do I feel like the ML does love her in the past life but he’s not just showy or unable to show his emotions to her? It’s my assumption but it’s either he was protecting the FL (maybe because someone might use her as his weakness) or he’s just one of the male leads that aren’t that showy with their emotions but they truly love their partner. i think he isn’t actually cold,, he said that, THEY DID THE DEED every night lol,, He explained that they’re always so close with each other and that’s why Idris can still remember her past life (plus he’s half demon so his powers aren’t that strong). So yea, I guess it’s just really a misunderstanding in Idris part (MAYBE SHE HASN’T FULLY RECOVERED HER MEMORIES and remember first the cold parts of the duke)
