Spoiler: Hazel From what i remember: Hazel is the witch that seal disaster before. She's a witch but from the isolated bourbon family, so she almost didn't interact with other witches. But she worked in palace because she made a deal with emperor regent to control and seal the disaster (at that time, the disaster was sealed in the regent's body, before serwin took it over). So the didnt had any romantic feelings at all. It's pure a deal to control disaster. The rumors weren't true at all. The ring that emperor regent had was hazel's, i guess it's kinda thing to control disaster. But it's getting hard for regent to control disaster and sometimes he lost control of it. That's why there's two sides from emperor regent. Benevolent, graceful and respected, but when disaster took control, he's unstoppable (starting witch hunting) and cruel. Maybe that's why she move the disaster, to stabilize the seal.
