Wanted to add onto this a bit, MC didn't willingly say all of that ahahaa, he ended up activated the Halo's cut scene/automode. So the MC saying that wasn't actually the MC, it was the Halo taking control of his body. In addition, with the Halo's whitewashing effect, ML stood no chance aha.
This chubby unicorn will get pitchforked and die if I actually use that much time to write out arc summaries instead of finishing SV translation lol... I can give spoilers for shorter things?

I can't say which chapter cause I'm reading on danmeila and they just plop the text without bothering to line up with the chapters. It was fairly in the beginning tho.
Okay, so a few more cute moments before I get back to SV translating. Why does MXTX's works cause me so much translating painnnn: -everyone in the sect thinks that MC and ML are the couple most likely to get married/become dao-companions. And this was still when they were just friends (though with hidden feelings). Some of the martial brothers and sisters talked about them as though it was done deal lol. (they're right on the mark, because MC and ML DO become dao-companions at like 4/5 part of the novel) -MC and ML get together around 3/4 of way through novel, perhaps a bit earlier. ML tries to explain his feelings to MC -- it's romantic feelings, not just brotherly! -- and MC doesn't really get it for a while until ML kisses him I think. LOL. But MC isn't against it even if he blushes and tries to run away a lot in embarrassment. Eventually, MC turns into the chasing party towards end of the novel, because ML tries to distance himself from MC to avoid hurting him (MC isn't having that of course). -ML has a very meticulous, controlled personality. Now combine that with gentle, marathon sex. Poor MC, lolololol~ -MC likes to hug ML often. They see each other after MC finished training with shifu, and first thing MC does is leap over and hug ML. ML was trying to restrain himself lol, but you can bet he was happy he got hugged anyway.
Does the ML got abandoned by the sect/his friends after his origin was found out? Or is it an open secret?
wanted to pop in and say ch4 is done, almost killed me and now I'm ded since its 5am again but it is done as to why it almost killed me, the few descriptive parts were harder to translate than MXTX's HB
So wait in the real past without the halo effect what really happened? Did he really try to push down MC?
I answered that at the LCD thread sinceit is covered on the latest translation. I believe it's actually the junior sister but the halo effect used LMC's hazy memory to misled him into believing it's YBY with him that night.

With help of MC's insistence, everyone gets over the demon part and just treats ML like usual. I'm not sure if ML can be sect leader though (if he was ever in line for it). The only people who are against it somewhat are some people in the rest of the world and some buddhist (?) monks who were proclaiming that ML would be the End of Days. Yes and no. Latest chapter 5 shows that there are times he's not aware.
