LMAOOO I think Im out 2. I came here to see if it's worth reading or not but since it's like that tragedy shit novel I can't take it one was more than enough
This novel had a hold on me for weeks. No bad endings, but everyone's story is pure tragedy. The trauma they experience is incredibly heart breaking, the ML burns with revenge and the FL accepts his intention because she believes she doesn't deserve to live, and omg when I found out the two countries and families back stories, if I were her I'd feel too immensely guilty and burdened to want to either. She's strong to still be alive when death is her liberation. And then the ML and knights who vow to save her, but it may be too late. This novel is heavy but the plot is immaculate ✨. Spoiler: some parts I cried over I cried when I found out the back story of why FL wants to die. I also cried when FL kneeled before MLs parents when they were abt to die, and FLs purest friendship with MLs sister, and how messed up the RF was (I knew they were kinda bad from the prologue when ML kills them, but not that bad holy sht). There's so many heart stopping moments and earlier parts all make sense in retrospect. ML and FL both lead devastating lives, but unlike ML, FL's life was destined to be tragic, which makes it all the more sad because there are interspersed moments of happiness, followed by a 'Mileia, what do you think of a sinner like me marrying your brother.' This novel is exceptional at portraying the manifestations of deep rooted trauma, the blackness of humanity, and innocent victims of royal politics and war. Above all, I loved how pure love and loyalty is the glimmer of hope in their decimated world.
may I ask about FL’s back story and why she wants to die? Also how will ML save her? And when does he realize that he wants to save her? Thanks
