In I woke up as the ugly duckling apparently the ML is not a prince or an immortal being. I was actually surprised when I saw the spoilers! That's probably a korean thing rather than a MC thing. In Korea girls call older boys/boyfriends oppa and boys call older girls/girlfriends noona. These are also the words for older brother and older sister. So sometimes it literally means an older sibling and sometimes it's just a term of endearment. Amd how he's adamant that he's never thought of her as a sister, I'm guessing he's been calling her noona/noonim in the other sense all along.
Oh yes pls explain this to all those people weirded out by the noonims, and oppa and whatnot smh.
