It did explain that flying 'ship' in this otome bullshit world cannons work like how a wooden ship's cannons work. They can only open a hole and shoot out horizontally so anyone who gain the higher attitude gain the advantage since the lower ship can't fight back and they can drop armor suit units down as much as they want. However MC's 'Partner' can shoot vertically so it makes the higher attitude advantage obsolete which is why the pirates were surprised that the ship can fight back. So now they are the one at disadvantage and lose since MC can singlehandedly take out armor suit units and they can't fire cannons back.

Yeah the game developers did not foresee how empty she was made psychologically. Her true gift her intellectual strength is was wasted because she lacks both directions and motivations.

More like Leon is realizing that he's been treating Livia not as a person. He sees her as the 'MC' and treats her as if she were a different being altogether. I do hope that changes soon though.

Yeah. That chapter. Being defensive aside, just that part of her blushing after he comes up in the conversation is my favorite part.

 

I actually really liked today’s chapter since it’s going into more complex psychological problems usually not covered in other LN writing so I give it props for that.

Unfortunately, the reality is that a lot of people aren’t okay with being able to be good friends with people better or worse than them or people that they can’t provide anything for. It’s a matter of pride especially when you get helped a lot and can’t do anything for someone else. It really depends on the person.

Olivia’s concerns are valid and it’s Leon’s fault for only valuing her as a future saint. This story is being realistic for once instead of looking at relationships the way they work in CN’s where they are largely purely transactional. There’s elements of both things here, but transactions are also important.

I think that Leon’s reaction was reasonable rather than saying empty words. I think that this is a good opportunity for the two of them to finally get closer once they resolve this so I don’t see this as a bad thing. This is a sign of things going better pretty soon imo.
