UwU I am confused by the prologue. Did she know from the beginning that her sister is an evil bitch? Why did she uh adore her then? Or if she got to know this only at that moment of betrayal, has she been carrying a poison around with her just like that? And the title suggests the sister no longer 'exists' in the world - so how does that work?

Yes, she stayed herself and just suddenly started getting attention she has never had in her previous life, so she thinks that they mistake her for her sister. I understand why this novel has so many reviews, it’s really very interesting from the first chapter. Especially for people who enjoy reading tragedies and emotional parts. But what makes me frustrated so far is the Nacht family from before. I hope it’s not a plot hole and their attitude from previous life will be explained, because it doesn’t make sense for them to not notice MC being manipulated by the “sister” and her power getting stolen. They are supposed to be the most brilliant and talented people in the Empire, but they allow this stuff to happen in their home. Maybe they just got their hearts only in this life and didn’t care about it before idk, but it’s kinda unrealistic for them change their attitudes so much only because the girl refused to go with them and didn’t want to be adopted to their family.
@its0k Given how popular this book is apparently I’m really hoping for a non cliche reason. Because you’re right, the fact that they straight up gave her a nice room the minute she walked in vs giving her a shabby room is already bizarre. Like what is the explanation for that besides idk she looked rough so it invoked pity? She was always pitiful though, even when she tripped in her last life so... I do hope that it doesn’t go the brainwashing route. That would really piss me off lmao
