Enough that he’d wish for her to disappear three times a day. I don’t like the face of someone who looks just like the Duke of Delois, my enemy, but no matter how much I insulted her, her indifferent and aloof character stayed the same, which made me feel even more terrible. I didn’t care whether or not she disappears or dies. I was fine with anything as long as I didn’t see her face. The wish came true. When he no longer wished for it to happen.

Well this looks pretty bad from the opening. He has a political marriage with Yvonne, "in name only" and for s#!ts and giggles he humiliates her by naming his mistress as empress over her at the celebration of their 1 yr anniversary Hopefully it's a revenge novel. Isn't tagged that way though. Fantasy, drama, romance questions raised in the opening Just why is this marriage a thing? He hates her, she apparently doesn't care, her father seems to care about her How do these Asian customs keep showing up European settings??? No he can't do that in virtually any European country post Roman Empire (couldn't even do that during the republic either, Roman women had rather decent rights) Where do the novelists get these guys from? They tend to make Henry the VIII look good Is this going to be abandoned empress again where she winds up covering for the annoyance the emperor uses to humiliate her? Really just hope her marriage contract with him has provisions for this and she can just get the heck away from him. Spoiler: Take With A Grain Of Salt This one bothered me so I hunted around and managed to MTL some reviews to get some detsil 1 it's not a revenge novel, it's a misunderstanding slow romance novel 2. SLOW IS THE OPERATIVE WORD. The misunderstanding persists for 88 chapters before the romance begins
oh no what kind of detergent the author will use to whitewash the emperor? regretful et teary confession? or shitty childhood caused by MC family? what to choose, so many brand~
“The wish came true. When he no longer wished for it to happen.” i really want a spoil for this part. What happen
The amount of daughter killing is already annoying. If a king marries a powerful dukes daughter and humiliated her like in these stories i feel like there would be backlash. I can't deal. Plus they always give redemption to these dumb ass dad's and husbands but women never get redemption. I don't have high hopes for this
No I just read the naver blog....I don't understand how do those ppl like these kind of tragedy filled novels.... It's like too much.... The person who wrote the blog was head over heels for this novel
Spoiler: Mc&Ml These are the spoilers I gathered from reviews. - As far as I know, this story is all about misunderstanding. The Ml loves Mc but denies it because she looks just like Duke of Delois his enemy who forced him to marry her because he wanted their son to be emperor so that he could gain some power too. Duke is really selfish and the main villain of this story. - Mc is an illegitimate child. Her name was Lilian Lou. She was a poor child who lived with her sick mother in a slum located in a dark forest, but still, their life was peaceful. - But one day when she goes to work to receive money for her mother's treatment in some gang house, she sees ML who was kidnapped and taken to hostage. She also meets him every night secretly when no one sees her. - Soon Mc rescues the Ml from there and believes that he will come to find her one day after he returns to the royal place because Ml made a promise to her that he will find her. - But then, Duke of Delois takes her mother as a hostage and soon her mother dies leaving her no choice but to become Yvonne (Duke's daughter who died early.) - She was abused daily, scolded, beaten, so she gave up her own life and became the Duke's puppet. Also to forbid her from revealing that she was fake, the Duke used magic on her. And with all this, she became a heartless girl. - Then from all the schemes, Duke succeded in making Mc and Ml marry each other. So ML began to hate Mc, who was as heartless as Duke. He hated her for resembling the Duke. But still, Mc couldn't hate him, because he was also a victim in Duke's play. - The reason why this story is popular is that the author's writing skills are damn good. She knows when to put the emotions and ofc there are lots of time you want to cry or be sad seeing this story. It's a book filled with tragic events because all you do is cry seeing their love story. They are a destined partner but they don't realize. So this novel is an excellent dark and emotional plot Novel. And all you could see is a good review of this. - Also when he finds out, she is the girl whom he had always loved and searched for, he will be devasted. The regretting part is definitely after this. - I'm really interested in what that last sentence in the synopsis means. I'm definitely seeing this Novel lol. Does she die and he returns back to time regretting? Well, I'll find some spoiler about this one.
