I just meant in terms of whats needed for the emotional payoff of the revenge. If the person is evil/dangerous I have no issues with them being killed, disabled, taken out of power, or whatever is needed to render them harmless by the rules of the world. Just any additional extended humiliation/torture I always feel is unpleasant, boring, and unnecessary.

A nicely orchestrated downfall, where they regret what they did and realize it was a consequence of their own scheming and being rendered powerless to do any more harm, I always find most emotionally and narratively fulfilling.

Hmmhmmm I do understand that, although on the way she's called Malty literally got her name changed in story into that so they are technically just calling her by her name...

On the difference, indeed I agree, they tend to portray female villains in a worse fashion, I believe mainly due to the fact that for some weird reason it's kind of harder to hate a woman... though I have seen some male bad guys that are portrayed really well (as in they are really REALLY easy to hate and I do hate them as much if not more than Malty) like for example Kefka from FF6, Ehito from Arifureta, That one guy who tries to be Weed's rival in LMS whose name I can't remember but that is sincerely a coward and a wimp, and last but also the most important the damned Hitogami from Mushoku Tensei

Okay this one I can totally agree with

Part of the grossness is in how the story is written to give Malty a new name, and the other part is the glee with which the writer and the fans refer to her as "Bitch".

And in a lot of corners of the internets, you'll find this to be an unpopular opinion. It's actually pretty nuts the kind of vitriol women, real and fictional, get subjected to.

Agreed. I read a lot of comics for guys and a lot of comics for girls. Commenters for both genres can say appalling things about women, although with girl comics, the hate tends to be toward a specific woman, whereas with the guy comics, the hate or misogyny can be more general. Made the mistake of getting into a argument a few weeks back with a misogynist who believed that no man should ever, under any circumstances, listen to what a woman had to say. It rattled me quite a bit.

People are ass holes and the internet should be used only by wastrels who knows the internet is for porn.

People sent death threats to the voice actors actresses of The Last Of Us 2 because they voiced the lines for characters which end up being hated.

There's a netorare novel I think it's called even when the hero steals them I believe I'll win in the end. Rout 1, let them speak their mind. Route 2, throw it back in their face, and let them stew in their own toxicity.

I'm one of those people you described, but in the end it's just fiction. It's impossible for me to mix reality and fiction together so I don't see what's wrong with it. If you think that I would have the same mentality in real life than you are completely wrong. I never try to use real life's morals and ethics to judge and/or enjoy a novel. Fiction is fiction, and real life is real life. I never use my morals or ethics on what I read.

Some people need to take the filth out onto someone/something. Personally, I prefer it to be on a fictional character. Best case scenario, those people learn some empathy, sympathy, restraint, and look on the inside at themselves, but chances are pretty slim. I'm in the middle of watching the coverage of the most recent youtube drama, and man, the pure relish some people show when they tear through others. And the gloating comments too. Top tier humanity right there.
