give to charity not all of it, of course, but I wouldn't hoard. Because I believe in the whole 'what goes around comes around' thing. And that money should be used where it is more effective. To a rich person, a few extra or less hundred dollars, or thousands of dollars wouldn't make too much difference. To a poor person, an extra thousand could make life-changing differences. Rather than letting it sit in a bank uselessly, it'd be better for it to be used where it has a use. Since money is just some paper or metal that we assign value, what's the point of it in the first place if it's not making a difference in someone's life? If it won't make much of a difference for me, might as well let it do it's job somewhere. And for the pragmatic side.... the act of hoarding itself could have more cons than pros, like: making enemies, or it suddenly all getting stolen, or the economy collapsing to the point where money is useless enough that people are using it as toilet paper. Goodwill from people is super unreliable, but in the event everything goes wrong, vague things like karma would have more potential to pay off than some pieces of paper. I read somewhere (and I agree) that often what people think is altruism is actually super-long-term pragmatism (with a good amount of gambling thrown in). ----- Astrology, or Myers Brigg's personality types? both try to determine what people's personalities are really like, based on types and get more detailed the more you look into them. Astrology uses the movements of the stars to make these assumptions, and is ancient. The test uses people's answers to do the same, and is modern.
Welp, that's quite an in-depth explanation you gave there Myer's Briggs personality types, more familiar and detailed explanation than astrology imo. I only know about 12 zodiacs and not about the movement of the stars that would affect them. Well, do you perhaps learn about astrology? Would you rather live in a society that has liberty but no justice or justice but no liberty?
Yeah, I was thinking about it the other day so it was nice to write it out. Yep, I've tried to learn a bit about it by reading stuff online. I'll leave the question for the next person
