I wonder if we will ever see a Chinese- Western co production that works lol. Turns out I am not the only one failing. Excerpt below. In coming months, veteran directors such as John Woo Yu-sum and Chen Kaige, and unknowns like Wan Lifang, will unleash their own multinational goods on Chinese audiences. (Manhunt in the case of Woo; Legend of the Demon Cat from Chen; and Paris-set Lumière Amoureuse, a Sino-French response to Twilight, from Wan.) And thus the quest to make a feasible co-production continues. We’re not holding our breath. https://m.scmp.com/magazines/post-m...-bille-augusts-china-set-war-film-chinese-box https://m.scmp.com/culture/film-tv/...big-china-live-action-co-production-bombs-box
The only Chinese-Western works I like are anything with Jackie Chan. I don't think a wuxia genre work will be good. We don't want another flops like Netflix's Death Note or Dragon Ball Evolution.
Like Shanghai Noon. It was a marvelous watch. I love Jackie Chan's movies and also when he gets into variety shows.
Well my co production with China failed. Chinese girlfriend dumped me. The fact that he thinks Wu Jing is bigger than Jackie Chan is hilarious
