when it come imo it exciting similar with CD, ATG, Zhan Long ect as time pass I drop it for reason I forget~
Though the translation has 3 volumes left its a shame that no progress for the latest ch up until now.
i read it immediately after every TL release at first but i haven't read past the start of the mission where they go to Spoiler lord of the rings
It was really good at the beginning but for some reason it gets pretty predictable making me lose the anticipation to read the next chapters
As typical cn novels, many info dump really annoyed me. The concept was good and its written well compared to other thumbs, but its dragged to long and it turned into chore, hence i dropped it (after transformer arc). Well freddie arc looks good
For some reason I never consider sequels/prequels unless the author is er gen, i eat tomatoes or tjss.
True to dat though it does help knowing novels of other authors publishing dates knowing what to start first.
I even preferred reading 'Side B' on RRL over the original. It was good until they put in the team vs team and all the deaths of team mates. Starship troopers that was incredibly dragged out and then afterwards none of the stories chosen really did it for me anymore.
It turned into a Comrade-fest. The little hints about the Saints and Cultivators would have been enough if somebody PLEASE translated the prequel further than 2 chapters. Zheng actually degraded in character and his Clone's reason for going mad is stupid considering Lori was made with a function that would only cost him 500 points to use again. Any interesting enhancement was never fleshed out while others were overpraised because 'plot'. Heretically, they never bothered with LotR aside from a little trade with elves. (Other) team(s) were horribly written, never changing and all of them infighting. Worst of all was the whole shitty hangup where it seemed Qi would be an ultimate force and then thankfully we see multiple examples of magic being superior even when mixing the two. There is also a comment from the translator somewhere on the original site that Cultivators are just people without the ability to reach the 5 stage and cultivation is just an attempt to equal innate energy manipulators (Saints). So thankfully the continuity about science being less useful in the long run from early on was preserved.
I think Clone Zheng not making another Lori isn't a plot hole or bad writing. It was probably just too painful after what happened to make another Lori. He might want to revive her if possible to atone for not protecting her, but just making another Lori that was still pure is... I don't know how to describe it. It just has to do with your ideas of romance, individuality, and how far are you willing to go.
Not knowing Chinese there are 2 options regarding clones I can think of. Only they get copied or everything they own is copied with them. IF it is the 1. option then Clone!Zheng is just as if not more stupid than Original!Zheng. On the other hand if it is the second option then it is expected for the given plot to happen, knowing Zheng's power at that point he would definitely be unable to resist that spectacular idiot from the 2 man team that terrorised all their teammates thinking they would never slip up and get killed. You are right about the individuality thing. My view is that since onscreen Lori is a copy already and the one with Clone!Zheng is her copy then 500 points isn't a big deal. Might be he couldn't face her anymore or didn't want to revive her what with everyone who has potential being colossal dicks and maybe he was looking for a time when he would have everything under control or something completely else.
