Hmmm...It's gonna be such a spoiler and scare people away. Well, MC was betrayed by many people actually. But the worst time was by ML (well, before ML realized his feelings for MC). It's an important pivoting point for MC though lol.
ohmygod I came at the wrong time.... do I want to read this heartbreak or do I not? ... Don't be scared away!!!! This is such a great book!!! And everything happens in it was not for drama purpose at all! People have reasons for what they do. The characters and story are really good, one of my lifetime favorites.
Y know if it happens because of reasons that only makes the heartbreak worse, riiiight?? (at least if it's drama I'll have the reason that the writer is being dramatic/is high/is sick) But if it's as good as you say.... I'm tempted... The mc remind me of xiu... Is he yandere too? Edit : huhh ?? Did I get mixed up who's the one get betrayed again and again mc or mL?
I can't find a proper word to describe him, but no, he's not yandere actually. And I know the synopsis and chapter 1 is really confusing lol. But he (Yan Wushi) was actually the ML, and Shen Qiao is actually the MC lol.
LOL. It's really hard to summarize the character's mentality. The spoiler might sound bad and scary, but by the end of the book, it really makes sense why they would fall for each other. CAUTION TO READ: Spoiler: CAUTION So ml had lived a very hard life, and he was disappointed and stopped believe there exists kindness in human nature. He believes that everyone who acts kind is because the circumstances they are in hasn't pushed them to limits yet. So when mc was in need for help, instead of helping him, ml wanted to bring out the evil nature in him. So ml betrayed mc and gave mc to mc's enemy. lol I don't know if ml ever regretted, but he looks like the type that never regrets at whatever he did, no matter the result. Mc managed to escape from it, and the event helps him to grow a lot as well. Mc was just a tiny bit naive before this, but I promise he's not those white lotus. Mc is kind and powerful, he never brings other people troubles.
