This game is set up to be as easy to follow through with as is reasonably possible. Please tag me if you can't actually play so I can look for a replacement game starts in 24 hours of this thread going live.​

Spoiler: Rules

1. Be respectful.
2. Do not discuss the game outside the game thread.
3. Do not edit your posts after writing them.
4. Do not game throw (act against your win condition). This includes jesting (acting chaotic or suspicious on purpose) and all sorts of revenge actions.
5. Do not use any sort of code or encryption during the game. Signals are allowed (When I say "x" I mean "y happened") but any sort of hidden message that requires a cipher/rule to read, or otherwise hidden message is not allowed.
6. Do not quote, screenshot, or otherwise post any messages received from the game master or anything related to the game outside of the thread.
7. This is my hosting colour, it’ll make the VCs and other GM posts more noticeable. Do not use that colour unless you absolutely need to.
8. Pretending to break any rule will be treated as if you broke that rule.
9. Most importantly, remember that this is just a game, so just try and have fun!
10. The only way to vote is by adding the name to the unofficial vote count list any other method of voting is not allowed.
11. There will always be a lynch that occurs. You may not abstain from voting and you may not vote no lynch.
12. By popular demand, you cannot change any other persons vote on the unofficial vote list. Only your own.

Spoiler: Basic stuff - MUST READ

• The roles are as they appear in this post!
• There are no neutrals
• There is only two factions Mafia and Town
• This is unsurprisingly not a bastard game.
• There will be no alignment changes mid-game.
• Lynching or killing a player will result in them being removed from the game their exact role will be revealed.
• A will system is implemented.
• Death is permanent

How to lynch: There is a list of names appended to the bottom of this post. The first person to vote quotes that list and uses it in their post. They put the name of the person they want to vote for next to their own name on the list. Then at the bottom of the post they put the persons name with a - 1. The next person quotes the previous posters list. If two people use the same list the person whose post appears second does the clean up of the two lists.
How to write a will: Every night you will have a chance to write up your will, you do this by typing
Will: [stuff that goes in the will].
End of will.
Only stuff between the Will: and End of will, can be counted as the will.

You are the Detective.
Every night you have the ability to investigate one player to see if they're up to anything suspicious.
If your target is a member of the mafia, you will know.
You win with the town.

You are the doctor
Every night you have the ability to visit one player, the player that you visit will not die if they would be killed.
You win with the town

You are the Town Skipper
Every night you leave the town, this means that no power can be used on you during the night whether this be the mafia kill or otherwise.

You are the Vigilante
Every second night you can kill one person. This does not roll over to the next night and starts on the second night.

If you are investigated you will appear as a member of the mafia.

You know two members of the mafia at the start of the game
If you are night killed you join the mafia as a Goon. You do not start off in the mafia night chat. If all other members of the mafia die before you are recruited you lose the game.

So let me get this straight:
There are 5 mafia:
1 PR, 4 goons

There are 10 townies:
5 PRs, 5 creeps

Right? Or no?

1. I am happy this is starting in 24 hours, but why does it have to be at 03.40 in the morning!?
2. ...TiggerBane, why does the poll say "lynch as many as are in tie" instead of "lynch all in tie"? (For the record, they are not the same as the former imply that the ones getting lynched does not necessarily have to be in the tie.)
3. Rule #10 is interesting. By the way, what happens if you break Rule #11?

1. Wow. I don't see ascetic that often.
2. Hey @TiggerBane, I have two questions: Can Doctor heal themself? Can they heal the same target consecutively?

I wanted to say that 5 mafia might be overpowered, but seeing as there is an ascetic in the game and a traitor... I guess this would be fine.

 

Alright. I can properly say that town is not any weaker than mafia. The only thing that can screw over town are literally town themselves.

So what's the Town Skipper do, really?

I haven't played with this role so like: is this basically just a role that is impervious to everything?

Like can they skip every night and never get hit with anything?

Yep. From what I understand, since TiggerBane doesn't gate the role with X-Shot, it is basically invincible to everything during Night Phase.

Basically, it can only die during Day Phase, so... I guess it will be hell with the counterclaims.
