Was it hard? My body is used to waking up early, but not to the level where it could wake up at 4am (the time I need to wake up if I don't want to be late).
sometimes when you are awake until then you have the choice to either go to sleep or stay awake till the coming evening (which I recommend more, sleepcycles are bitches) but I usually sleep anyway, who doesn't like sleeping after all
I usually take a power nap during those times. Drink a coffee, then nap for 20 mins. Read somewhere that coffee rush sometimes takes 20 mins before kicking in and 20 mins is recommended length of nap time
and how do you wake up from your nap? do you just focus on the thought before napping "gotta wake up in 20 min, this is a nap" or do you put an alarm or get woken up? Cause I don't nap in public and anywhere in my home or at friends' houses etc I can sleep long
Usually an alarm. I'm afraid my tiredness is too much for the coffee rush to conquer. But setting up that "gotta wake up in 20 mins" mindset is helpful (at least for me it is). I could sleep in public (I do it when there is at least someone I know in the vicinity). But somewhere quiet is preferable. If I sleep on the library I put the alarm on vibrate. I wake up more to touch than to sounds.
The best time for me to wake up is between 4 to 6 AM. If it's more than 6AM, I would feel tired and lethargic...
I never said good morning to people at 12AM even though technically it's a new day. My waking times when I'm working is 7.30AM sharp every workday. But if I don't have work or anything to do, I prefer to sleep in until 2PM in the afternoon. I love my sleep very much. I do that too in library and in public transport like train/monorail etc. Due to my stay in dorm at uni, I'm used to waking up with vibrations.
Like @Ai chan, I am able to wake up without alarm as long as I tell myself the night before that I HAVE to wake at XX time the next day. But I don't really like doing that often because it's not very reliable and it's too troublesome to keep up the training.
My wake up time varies a lot... Not having a fixed schedule or anything surely helps in that I guess. Right now I'm waking up around 10pm and sleeping around 2pm. At other times I'm sleeping at 10pm and waking up at 6am... Seriously, varies a lot. No matter what time I wake up though, my greeting is always Good Morning, I only wake up at mornings, even it's 10pm~
A former roommate once said to me, “You’re up early, today (9:00 am ish). Me: “No, it’s the other way around.”
These days? 4:30AM Max. And I don't wish people a good morning in the middle of the night, because that's what it is 'midnight'.
I'm pickle rick! #5 I normally wake up around 7-7:15 or 815 at the latest if I don't want to be late for work
Sleep is overrated. 24/7 no sleep. Spend every second of your life like it's worth it. ヾ(´▽`ゝ In reality, I try to get around at least 6 hours of sleep everyday. Ideally, around 8-9 hours.
These days I’ve been randomly waking up in the middle of the night or early morning. I would go back to sleep if tired, if not I stay awake till 7 or 8 then sleep again if I have time
