Note: It is still in developing phase.
you lost me there on the "with friends" quest. I can't complete it. none of my friends has time to play game anymore.
Otaku coin... What's it used for? Is it tasty? I wouldn't mind it if I got offered a chance to translate for tokens, but all I'd be able to do is botch my way through it if I get a piece of text that I can copy and paste into Google Translate so I can hear it being spoken out...
That's what subtitles and translation are for though? This project will only works if like....Anime Subs are Extremely rare and not much people know about it or Free Sites with Anime Sub are so rare that is hard for people to find or something similar to them....but with how like there are Official Company doing Subs now, and you can find sites for watching anime online with just a few simple search results from Google.....I can't seem to find any reason for this project, beside just another game making project that try to use "anime" as a theme.

You earn them from watching anime trailers, sending messages to anime studios and tweeting it. Right now, it can only be converted to TOM points at otaku mode https://otakumode.com/sp/otaku-coin/exchange-tom-points
My take on it: Unemployed labor that gets paid in chump-change. Also, some of those anime subs out there these days... Let's just say the quality of the R18 section's subs sometimes is better.
Just don't sub any anime that has the following as the lead character: an SJW nagging Flat-Earth mother-in-law who lives in a van down by the river with Seymour, a Chris Walken-sounding and silent film-watching vegan cannibal zombie moose.
