    What is the difference between it and banana jam?
    But there is no Ketchup, only tomato ketchup in my country.

    UFC ketchup is made from banana. I prefer non sweetened ketchup though ...

    I think it is pretty widespread, it just tomato is pretty cheap and abundant in my place (to the point where farmers let the crops rot instead of harvesting because it is cheaper several weeks ago), which is why banana ketchup never had the chance to enter the market.
    I live in pretty remote region, but maybe it's being sold in the central island.

    Food coloring, it seems. According to wikipedia the original color is brown
