Not only what I said in the title, there's too much of impossible parkour stunts and the movie feels like a game with cutscenes. IMO if they're gonna make a game movie, then make Devil May Cry 3, I watched the put together cutscenes and it's way better than this(yes even with those old graphics).
Yeah. The movie was pretty meh. The story was particularly garbage. The acting was pretty solid though and some moments we're decent. B- in my books.
Can't say I remember much of the old one except that it was okayish, and Angelina's boobs and overall better looks, new girl is so average looking, though at least her acting was great.
I dont think ive ever seen a movie based on games that are done right. I think they should stick with novel materials.
They tried to make the movie from a game, so that was already gonna mean a subpar movie (WoW anyone?). Let the games be a game, take influence, but don’t try to mirror the game. A movie is far less interactive and there’s a lot less emotional investment on the viewer’s part. I love Alicia Vikander though, great choice for Lara Croft.
DMC is awesome, Dante is so cool, simple as that. He doesn't even need a plot, he could just kick random ass and it'd be a great movie! Actually Warcraft is suprisingly a good movie, funny too. The only thing that was bad was the "army" of like 10 guys.
RP is a Must! This is story about British lady! Without RP how dare they say tomb raider movie!! Indeed it's B Movie..
You might only give the movie a B rating, but I give Alicia Vikander an A+ one for her acting and outstanding physical performance. That woman did all her stunts and underwent drastic training just to film the movie, she's absolutely amazing.
Yup, just watched it too. A hidden tomb, sealing away a deadly curse on an island that has been erased from history (lets not even talk about how original is the plot), that has a goddamn code lock and walkthrough guide?! And how Lara bravely climbs and crawls across old rusty bits of steel, and runs around with deep penetrating wound in the abdomen? Iirc, Jolie did same, and there was much less CGI and chromakey back then.
I didn't give it a B rating, that's just an expression, there are no C, D,E, F class movies... B class means second rate. If I were grading it according to English grades, I would give it C-. True, her screams and crying were realistic.
RP Received Pronounciation. In other word Brittish Accent. Wich lot of people forgot that Lara Croft is purebred brittish Nobility, not some American peasant! Square Enix has fix this problem on second games. Why didn't the movie? Choosing wrong actress is the first sign that the movie is B Rated. They should hire Brittish Actress of someone that can speak in Brittish accent. Not some uknown actress. ThatsT why I like new Tomb Raider games than the old ones.
I have to disagree there it had a lot of mistakes and plot holes specially the part where heavy knights could run a lot and not be death tired. Also the romance between the king and the orc. Some parts were good that was undeniable but still overall as a fan of the series. NOPE
Didn't pay attention to that, but yeah brit accent on women is sexy. What I noticed was that Chinese sidekick guy speaking English better than me lol, the Chinese, especially broke fisherman aren't exactly known for their English. Didn't notice, perhaps you're paying attention too much to details. I especially find a waste of time and annoying those youtubers who rewatch movies over and over again to point out some tiny mistakes.
You should because, even Star Wars can found actress that has good english accent. Why Tomb Raider can't?
She did get an Oscar for acting nonetheless? That's one of the reasons I went to watch the movie, even though I don't like Tomb Raider series much(games or movies).
