Can someone clear something up for me? I have been reading the light novels and the manga for a while now. I buy the LN and don't think I have missed anything and have not read the WN but this latest chapter in the manga is confusing me. In it Hephaestos and Vahagan show up differently then the LN. Also Elrand didn't have any problems with dismantling the Earth Dragon, so my question is: is the manga going with the WN or am I missing something in the LN release that I am buying?

Edit: so I re-read the part where Mukoda gives Elrand the Earth Dragon in the LN and the mithril knive breaking is not there. Can anyone tell me if the WN is being translated and what chapter this would be roughly? I want to see if it's from there or just a manga exclusive change.

 

It's a change made by the manga. Mukouda-san shouldn't be meeting them yet.

It's a good way to introduce the gods though, since the novel introduction was not quite as interesting.

 

I actually like how they got introduced in the LN. They forced their blessings onto him just for booze and being pushy ends up biting them in the ass later. But I guess it somewhat clean up how Elrand is capable of doing so if Dragons are so hard to butcher.

 

I like their depiction of Elrand too. He's still very pretty and elf like, but the coat they gave him made him look like a deranged butterfly with thin legs, lol!
It's so cute and hilarious and fits with his otaku personality.
