This recent arc is getting me more depressed than anything... What happened to all the fun time with good scenarios and good results and funny game shows and badass future visions... Now everything is on an edge and I'm feeling as pressured as the MC...
The more we read into this, the more we glimpse into the darkness of the entertainment industry. Hopefully we can see the MC making a reversal with his foresight power.
Maybe the author got writer's block? There was a lot of build-up to this scene so I can see a lot of pressure to put out something great. Hopefully they're doing good and still writing. Either way, thanks to the translation team for making it all the way to the end! It was great while it lasted. Going to have to reread it from the start again one of these days.
It could be burn out or drop in popularity. Apparently the writer kept breaking promises about keeping to a reduced schedule and it brought on harsh comments due to half-hearted apologies and not credible reasons. There was a web drama made but other than the title it seems to bear little to no resemblance to the actual novel. There was a web toon announced too and one would think the author would be busy with both, but Munpia (the novel platform) is said to be in charge of both and the author would have little to no input to either. Yet the author was bombarded with comments and eventually he/she disappeared. And lastly, there was a plagiarism dispute; there was another work which was accused of plagiarizing Top Management.
This actually hurts me, I enjoyed so much reading this, and I felt that things were building up nicely. Thank you Myoniyoni for sticking to the end with this one.
I have to say this was one of my favorite translated novels that I looked forward to reading each week. It shall be missed. May the author some day find the inspiration and desire to continue it.
I procrastinated reading the last couple dozen chapters because I didn't want this novel to end, but I've finished them today. I'm a little annoyed that it ended on a cliffhanger along with their relationship still in limbo. I feel melancholy and depressed.
The author said to wait for him, he's just under a lot of stress and had some health issues. But that was last 2017 so...
With the COVID pandemic, one also needs to speculate if an author that's on hiatus is still alive and even if they are, are they in any shape, mentally or physically, to write again. It's a pretty sad state of the world.
Unfortunately I wrote this novel off well before COVID ever hit. There were no signs of this novel ever coming off hiatus even before the pandemic
With how fast korea react to the pandemic, im gonna be optimistic and say he is alive. But with 2/3 years of hiatus even before covid, my hope never was never there to begin with I guess. Would be great I think if someone make Fan fiction following the last chapter. Even if it's unofficial at least we got some consolation if the fanfic is good enough lol
