Let's be honest, there is no particular condition that triggers the future vision. The author is just adjusting his story with the vision to add a little spice some times, speed up the plot by allowing the protagonist to solve or avoid problems, or not provide any vision when the MC needs a challenge. We see that the vision is coming about less often now that the protagonist can rely on his own judgement, which was what probably propelled him to be a CEO in the future.
