The example I gave of Chu Feiyan calling Duan Shuyi his third aunt was in chapter 778. I agree it would be difficult to go back and fix all the small mistakes, but my point was that most of those mistakes shouldn't have been made to begin with. There are other problems in that chapter as well as the next one. "Correcting things as they appear" is something done by translators and editors before the chapter is released, not by being pointed out by some dumbshit reader like me 100 chapters later. I'm not trying to be difficult (i.e. whiny) or overly critical (i.e. arrogant) and wasn't asking for someone to fix it (i.e. spoiled), as I've already given up on this translation. As I've said the mtl is better and I don't have any trouble reading it. I already had no expectations of the translators fixing things or producing chapters with better quality in the future. Though if you are involved, I'm sure the quality would be much better as I know you do very good work.

 

It's been fixed. It has to do with Chu Feiyan saying Third Aunt, without any possessives, which in Chinese generally is understood whose Third Aunt it is. The translator made a mistake indeed by adding a possessive wrongly (my when it should be your)

In addition, this chapter had the author making lots of mistakes like Third Uncle and Fourth Uncle being used interchangeably. It's rather confusing, especially when it was just 7 chapters after the translator picked up this book and didn't have a good grasp of the story yet.

This translator is actually rather well-qualified, having studied translation.

Actually, in such large works, corrections are inevitable, especially when the word count is way more than most typical publications. Even in proper publications, there are errors that get corrected in future publication runs that need to be fixed. For instance, Harry Potter.

the MC is much more useless and irritating in this novel...
also there is way more long seperation and every wife/woman/lover of his leaves his side to come back 1000 chapters later and is as strong as the mc...

honestly i would say that the comedy+brotherhood is better here, but the MC in OEM is much better and the long separation with his wives is much more bearable.... the language and the way OEM is written is also much more flowery as compared to TTNH

also the MC in TTNH goes back in time and goes after his "lover in the past life" but she is only 10 year old or something like that.
TTNH shuold have the sexual grooming , pedophile and lolita in the tags TBH

It is a do-over, but I believe he meets her earlier than he did in his first life...
She appeared to be as dedicated to him in his first life as she is in the current, but CY forsook her back then.
This was something he regretted on his deathbed..which is why he cares alot more in this life.

 

Ugh...so its like ToDG where he meets his former lover as a kid. Never sits well with me.....
