Picked Up Translator Looking For a Novel- But With Requirements

    Hello, I'm BlackDay, a Chinese translator at AsianHobbyist.

    I'm looking for a new series, and I have two in mind, but I want more options, a variety to choose from.

    Requirements:
    a) Must be Chinese.
    b) No action (fighting, wuxia, MMO game, etc.)
    c) Modern Day (Everything is fine as long as it's modern/city.)
    d) No ancient/historical. I don't f**k with that s***t.
    e) Romance is preferred, but not required. This applies to all, all types of romance.

    Does not have to be untranslated, a dropped series is actually preferred.

    Don't tell me to look through the Novel Pickup Request Forum. I've done that already, and I'm not satisfied at all.

    NO QIDIAN

    Well since you said any kind of romance is fine, then here is a danmei you may want to check out Do You Remember My Name?
    Title might be wrong since it's from bing. The story is about an introvert student with social phobia, and a bad boy student. I haven't finished it yet, but it looks interesting so far.

    so wait, a modern day novel with no action and romance isn't a requirement? the heck would that even be with no romance? pure comedy? slice of life?

    These novels are web-novels that seem to retain the original spirit of webnovels.
    That means they aren't 1000+ chapters for no reason and filled with needless commentary by the peanut gallery.

    But while the translator didn't update it for 4+ months, he hasn't officially dropped it yet.

    Also, it's a very fair requirement for the novel to be not from qidian, i respect that
    But you said the novel has to be modern, but then in the next point you said it shouldn't be historical.
    Aren't you just repeating yourself?

    I kinda meant the novels there are like the novels on RoyalRoadL in the internet we use.
    The chapter length might not be an arbitrary fixed 2000 or 3000 words and Every chapter wouldn't have needless filler for no reason than the author's payment depends on how much words he writes, not how good the story is.
    It's kinda like that, where the authors on SFACG are hobbyists like us on RRL, so they care about the story a lot more than say a typical Qidian author.

    Of course, by no means are these all facts, merely my own observations. But i do have a reason to believe that what i said was true.
