Spoiler: Arc 2 MC transmigrates into another cannon fodder who surprisingly turns out to be Spoiler: Double spoiler bracket coz it's soooo surprising Spoiler She is the biggest hidden boss in the story! Before she is killed by the O!ML and FL, she sets up their businesses in such a way that after she is killed, their businesses start failing, O!ML and FL life becomes super difficult and in the end have to go to prison and die there or something MC parents adopt ML coz O!MC fell in love with him as a kid and would watch him in the orphanage everyday from her hospital room (she had some heart issues). MC parents treat him completely as their son but decide that he should marry O!MC. In the original storyline, the brother pushes O!MC to scum O!ML. Later, O!ML has an affair, O!MC gets to know this, goes against the FL and later is abused and thrown into the mental asylum where another patient hacks her to death. In current timeline, MC slowly acts to change ML (aka the brother's attitude) until he regrets regrets and regrets why he didn't fall for her in the first place. O!ML only came up in business by taking over MC family business. Now, without anything, he become pathetic. The FL who should have loved him without money starts fighting coz she wants money. In the end they divorce and go separate ways. ML keeps proposing to MC but she doesn't accept. ML only has her in his eyes, she also doesn't foster relation with anyone else but is really close to ML. But this is MC's punishment to the adopted brother who first started this O!MC's bad life. So MC can stay only 10 years longer than original host's life. So she dies due to heart problems after 15 years and when dying tells ML - I forgive u, you should live a happy life. Ultimate revenge lol I loved this book. MC doesn't pursue original protagonists. She simply fulfils the O!Host's dreams like becoming a singer or becoming a superstar etc. Whatever happens to the protagonists is actually their own fault.
Not exactly? MC has a life limit of 10 years from the year of host's death. Means if the host died at 16, MC can live till 26. It's not exactly BE coz MC literally lives only for the host. Whatever the host wished, she will fulfil that. But her abrupt departure does kinda leave a bad taste behind coz the ML is pretty devastated each time. True BE was arc 5 I think when the ML is really really good, so good that MC does not punish him like she does in prev arcs and he dies pretty early, before MC. Spoiler: About ML I read around 5 arcs but ML is one only. The crazed/ yandere sorta male regains consciousness right before dying and it appears he is learning about love. End of Arc 5, he says - Meet u next life but MC is sad coz she doesn't know the ML is one and the same. So she thinks she will jump to another plane but he will remain in this one. Spoiler: Punish ML She punished ML by digging pits, watching him fall inside and then watching him spend an entire lifetime trying to get out but he can't. For eg, Arc 2, she asks ML clearly - Do u want me to marry that man? He says yes coz he doesn't want his life arranged. So even after he regrets a hundred times, she keeps calling him 'brother' and they don't Marry or have any sort of physical intimacy even tho ML is desperate coz this is punishment for ML. For failing the O!Host. And even if ML says - Why won't u marry me? She will respond - I already love u so much, I am spending all my time with u, don't be greedy. U pay for ur mistakes and aren't u happy with me just like this? So MC is pretty passive-aggressive. Arc 5 /4 (don't remember) is one where ML does not fall for her pit. She asks - Don't u like me? And instead of saying No and insulting her, he just runs away. So MC gets shocked and tries many times to get him to say No, push her away or insult her. But he doesn't. And so she falls for him. Except he dies early so that kinda becomes a BE.
Love the novel. I rly like MC and how she doesnt cave in just cos ML gave one sentence apology or some trifle trinkets. It is refreshing to have an MC who sticks to her principle and does not easily forgive those who “betray” her and hurt the Original Hosts. At the same time, she never goes overboard w her revenge, no indiscriminate killings/torture others so far. Will try to give spoilers when I finish more arcs
Note: MC's name in every world is Tang Guo. MC would take on the memory of O!Host of every world and would exact revenge. Her goal was to exact revenge on everyone who ever betrayed her (and/or O!Host). She could not live more than 10 years (later increased to 20) passed the O!Host's death day in each world - she could leave early though. System wasn't omnipotent, it could not even see the full plot of the world they transmigrated into. MC had to trigger the hidden plot to see additional stuffs, so MC's first few worlds really depend on her own strength instead of System's cheat. Later on, System could upgrade but still has no cheat props/items. MP was O!Host stepsister, and MP was 7th prince of the kingdom. Original Plot: FP was a concubine's daughter. In the first life her mother died, she was bullied, jealous of O!Host talent and opportunities, she got married and died. After she was reborn, she snatched O!Host golden finger, caused an accident that crippled O!Host's cultivation then got her married to an abusive guy who abused her til her death. She also helped her cousin (the one who tripped her at the beginning) to be just a little stronger than FP so that she could beat FP. FP ended up not having great progression on her cultivation. 500 years later, MC and ML were still traveling together, but still just friends. FP was the unpopular ugly/stupid girl, MP was most popular guy in school who originally had a crush on O!Host. They were all in their first year of high school. Original plot: Once when FP was bullied, O!Host saved her. Instead of being grateful, she felt that O!Host looked down on her. One day, she found a mobile phone on the street. The phone had a chat group "The Plane Communication Group" with funny member names like general, demon sovereign, fairy, etc etc. She later found out that the members of the group were really from other magical worlds, and started to trade in items with them via the red envelope feature. She managed to get magical items from other worlds that helped her changed her look, helped with her study and improved her life, and she only traded them with normal restaurant food. FP started to change her look to imitate MC's look, more and more people like her, including the Villain. V chased after FP but FP disliked him cos he was a delinquent from neighbouring school, FP liked MP. One day, FP was running away from the disgruntled V who wanted to ruin her face due to all he rejections. By chance, O!Host passed by when FP was being chased. FP begged and told everyone that she wanted to give the elixir to her friend. MC pretended to be moved and agreed to trade, she gave FP 12 elixirs. She told FP that this would be the last time she trade with her. ML went back to his family home to fight for his inheritance, MC supported him by investing her money (that she got from playing stock market). V started showing up in MC's school whenever he knew ML was not around. He courted MC cos he fell for MC instead of FP now, even V's mom heard about it. V's mom went to MC's house to tell her to stop seducing her son. MC asked System to dug out V's family wrongdoings and to report it to the police - causing his family to be in trouble. After which, she had System took out the monitoring recording from her incident and demanded justice. V was sentenced to 2 years in prison for what he did while his family fell from grace. In the next 3 years, ML's exam score were getting better and better. During the final exam of high school, he managed to get 2nd place just behind MC. MP started to get acting roles in university, but whenever he was gonna get good roles something always happened that turned down his luck. O!Host suspected that someone behind the scene caused this and later found that it was ML, she confronted him. ML agreed to stop blocking MP’s opportunity if O!Host left him and came to live with ML. O!Host agreed, she didnt tell MP a single word of this. Later, MP won awards and became a well known movie emperor. Carrying her around in the house, drying her hair, helped her get lawyers to sue the TV station for letting her in danger, listening to all MC wanted him to do. The lawyers held a meeting for MC and CF to meet w the show producer, who was the culprit. The Villain (V) was actually one of FP’s raid target who liked her. He had wanted to kill MC cos MC snatched 2!FL role in the prev drama causing FP to be unhappy. V was also the one who killed FG. MC asked system to expose all evidence against V. His company went down and he got arrested, FG thanked and left MC. MC and O!Host family reconciled cos of this incident. MC started filming in ML’s show. Tho ML was known as a super difficult demonic director who scolded everyone til they cried, he never scolded MC at all and was always gently advising her on her scenes. All other actors thought it was good when MC was on set, the scoldings were halved somehow. MC’s family helped her clean her name backed w evidence on how she never played around, etc and that the only true thing bout the rumors attacking her was that she left MP (everyone knew she was w ML - they didnt know the two were innocent still). ML asked if she wanted him to clear and explain to MP why she left him, MC threatened that he would be really unhappy if he dared to do it. ML finally admitted he liked MC. MC: would u still like me if i dont like u? ML: yes MC: I want to take revenge on u, stink ur reputation so u cant get a woman in ur life. u ok w that? If i never like u back would u still wanna be involved w me forever? ML: I’m willing, as long as you dont move out. As long as you’re happy. MC said ML treated her well, he reminded her of someone (arc 4’s ML). It was on this world she felt all the MLs she encountered seemed to be similar to one another. FP still tried to finish her mission by approaching ML in a party. She greeted MC while dropping a line of praise for ML. Favorability -95. MC was amused cos she could hear FP and 875 talking. She approached ML and asked him if he liked FP. ML said dislike. MC: You dislike her a bit more and I’ll give u a kiss. Favorability value -100. MC and System determined that 875 was an evil pirated system that deprived someone’s luck via favorability. During MP & FP’s wedding, system hacked and swallowed 875, including every items it had. FP panicked as every skills she had was from item props bought from system’s mall. FP shut herself in and never left her room anymore, her relationship w MP deteriorated n never recovered. System upgraded quite a bit after swallowing 875, some of its memory recovered, System thought it would know more if he upgraded further. For now it only remembered it was produced in Space and Time Administration Bureau. MC only acted in ML’s movies mostly, and always as 2!FL or 3!FL. One day they announced that there would be new ML movie where MC became the female lead. The movie was just full of dog food showing their lovey dovey everyday lives. The only mystery inside was the daily repeated scene: ML: Do you like me yet today? MC: No, you have to work hard. ML: That’s okay I’ll ask again tomorrow. with the end showing MC saying yes and they got married in the movie. When MC felt her time was going to be up soon, she told ML she was leaving. She told him not to be greedy as the last 10 years she had only been good to him alone, and to leave the remaining time to the next life. MC passed away and left. In the past 10 years, MP couldnt forget the deep complicated look MC gave him on his wedding. After her death he was depressed. ML then did as MC asked and announced the truth that MC left MP that year cos she was coerced by ML in order to help MC. MP who knew the truth was hit hard. ML died after, to follow MC. Moments before his death he “woke up” and seemd to have recovered his memories, saying that it was him who owed MC. That was really really long cos I didnt want to cut out some of the dialogues Oh also, this MC never relied on ML for her revenge, she usually likes to do it herself. She asked him for minor help at times though.
The female lead in this novel is one of my absolute favorites. She won't overlook the bad things the ML did to her or the original body. And the way she makes the MP regret and gets revenge for the original is so refreshing and very unique. I love all the arcs I read and never got bored. In fact the novel is really good and makes an interesting read.
I fell in love with the story too. But I got vert heartbroken after reading from the Imperial Concubine arc that she could never get pregnant.
Im going to jot down what i can remember Spoiler: Arc 7 Majestic Concubine MC - Tang Guo ML - Xuanyuan Ming/Ashi FP - Female Protagonist, An XiangXiang MP - Male Protagonist, Xuanyuan Mo/Amo OHost - Original Host, Imperial Concubine Setting: Ancient China Original: OHost is the only daughter of a general and the favorite concubine of the emperor, or so it seems to outsiders. However, the truth was MP is just using her as front/bait so he can shield his true love, FP, from harem and court politics. FP knows this so she was satisfied with her low concubine status and keeping a low profile in harem. The reason MP loves FP so much is because when he was young, he fell into a river, and a young girl with an embroidered sachet saved him. Later on, MP saw the same sachet in FP. MP never did the deed with OHost saying the OHost was still young and the body is unwell. The OHost body is weak and her knees ache so much when its cold. Eventually, OHost came to age and has to 'sleep' with her. So he sends his secret twin brother instead. The previous emperor had twin sons, but because they didnt want conflicts, he set them as co-rulers. one rules in the light as the emperor, while the other rules in the shadows. In the original, twin brother visits her every night, pretends to be the emperor, and drugs her to have illusions. Eventually, OHost and her father were accused of treason and died (I forgot the details of their original ending). Current: However after MC transmigrated, the twin brother, ML, falls in love with her at first sight. He diligently visits her every night. He pampers her and even rubs her knees for her. At first he had no choice, he still pretends to be the emperor so he gets jealous when MC calls him by 'Amo' and when she cooked for the emperor. He leaves kiss marks on her. The emperor always visits her during the day to keep the facade so he sees those marks everyday LOL. Eventually ML finds out that MC already knows he's not the emperor but MC says she's satisfied with him and since the emperor wants to wear a green hat, then she'll give it to him, so ML was very happy. He supports MC's plans but he has no interest for the throne. He just want to have MC and to love her openly. They have a great time every night while she drowns emperor in guilt during the day. MC established good relationship with the women in the harem except FP and MP's spy. She gave them treasures, beauty recipes, and books. She taught them mahjong and the women will be so agitated when they win or lose after they finish the game, that outsiders taught MC was bullying them. She also gave them harem-related books which widen their views. They gradually realized that the emperor isnt as good as it seems to MC and that FP was the real favored one. Their feelings cooled down for him and eventually turned to worship for MC. They think MC is too talented and the emperor doesnt deserve her. One concubine also found out about the incense that the emperor gave that could make women infertile. She tried to warn MC, but MC express she already knows. The concubine taught MC must love MP so much, and that MC is so kind to warn them about the real nature of the emperor using the books. MC and ML tells General Tang about the MP's plan so they stage his death so MP cannot use her family against her. Meanwhile, MC continue to act timidly and lovingly to MP. MP is somehow falling for her but he is stubborn and insists he loves FP in his heart. he feels guilty towards MC and keeps giving her treasures. she then sends them to her father so her father can set up his own country and army LOL FP's family got impatient. They want FP to be queen quickly so they staged an attack. FP block an arrow for MP, while MC fought against the assassins. MC used to train in martial arts but stopped after she fell into a river before and got weaker. MP was impressed with MC but soon took his mind off her cause they found out FP was pregnant. FP was then promoted to queen. FP and her maid tried to flaunt their new status to MC but MC punished the maid instead. FP blabbed to MP but on his way to scold MC, ML blocked him and said "dont you dare touch my woman". MC also told him that he once promised her that she wouldnt have to bow to anyone even him. so MP end up rewarding her instead LOL I think its very obvious now but MC is actually the girl who saved MP before. She lost the sachet and it was taken by FP. FP's specialty is embroidery so she loved the unique design of the sachet and brought it with her to study. This was what MP saw and misunderstood. MC knows this so she embroidered 2 sachets of the same design. she kept one in her room, and she gave the other one to ML. She then asked ML to make sure MP sees it at the right time. when MP sees it, he was shocked. he asks FP about it and reinvestigates the owner of the sachet. FP eventually figures out that the reason MP loves her is the sachet, and the real owner is MC. FP, in a fit of jealousy and anger, reveals everything to MC -- about the adultery and the infertile incense. she thought MC will be surprised, but instead it was MC that surprised her. MC reveals she knows everything and even asks ML to come out. everyone was surprise to see someone identical to the MP. FP from then on respected MC because of her courage. MP, on the otherhand, was really devastated. He did not only lose her, but he has to watch as MC and ML flirt in the royal garden openly. Concubines were very happy for MC because she found someone who really loves her. The public accused MC of adultery. even after they found out it was the MP's fault, the court insisted on punishing her. but then General Tang came back with his forces to protect her. In the end, MC and ML spent some more harmonious time together. MC's body grew weaker everyday. She was respected by all concubines and even the young prince (MP and FP's son). Young prince's goal is to surpass her. After she passed away, MP went to her room, saw the sachet, and cried nonstop. Wow. I have a newfound respect for those who do summaries. it isn't easy at all.
This kind of plot is what really drives the fact that despite the romance of it this kind of love is very fickle. This MP hurt two people, the O!Host and the FP. Imagine thinking that someone knew you for who you are and didn't find you wanting only to find out that wasn't the case at all. (｡•́︿•̀｡)
There's another one with MLs scummier than this. In the raws, arc title is The Princess Whose Memories Had Been Swapped. I'm currently at the arc next to that one. In transmigration stories, I always love to see bad relatives suffer. Wahahaha
Nothing is as refreshing as the first arc where MC really made ML suffer. In future arcs, MC instantly recognizes ML, and ML also instantly gets attached to MC and never betrays her so the story takes a different flavor from the first arc. I prefer more of the tragic taste even at expense of a happy ending between the two. Nevertheless, all arcs are still interesting and addicting. Both MC and ML are powerful on their own, but ML lets MC exact her own revenge.
