A lot of times the title of chapters are given a chapter in advance (idk why) so maybe next chapter the matriarch will get scolded. Unless this time it just meant talking or acting behind the matriarchs back, bc that definitely happened this chapter.

 

Doesn't sound like it, from how the conversation between the emperor and Prince Wei went. Doesn't sound like either of them intend to directly involve themselves. The emperor might call Count Jing'an back earlier, but I don't think he can come back any faster than he already is. Plus, I can't think of any appropriate characters who would be matched to Dalang. Usually a character like that would have been introduced ahead of time, otherwise the new wife is going to come kind of out of left field. Sima Hui and Duanjia are already kinda paired up, and everyone else in this story is married, a maid, or into XBJ or HCD.

 

if Chu Lian and Duanjia r really twins then this might become a female Prince and the Pauper story CN version....
