Get an android emulator, copy one chapter by chapter to Google drive or translate as you go.

Can you read on their mobile website? If you can the hold screen and select all. Some browsers have reader mode which can bypass right click copy restrictions

If you have access to the epub file you should be able to do it.

I don’t know how much you know about the epub file format or what exactly you are seeing that makes you think it’s encrypted.
To my knowledge epubs can’t be encrypted, but it may be DRM locked. If it is there are programs available to that can remove DRM from epubs. But if you say it’s a mess, you might just be looking at the html? (If you know html already and that’s not the case then sorry - many people know very little about html and how epubs work so I usually assume anyone having epub issues is starting from square one)

If you aren’t familiar with it, epubs are basically just a bunch of html files bound together into a single item. Special programs are needed to open and edit them. The two I use are Calibre and Sigil. Calibre lets you build and manage your epub library and has a built in viewer that’s a pretty solid reading experience. It also has an editor but Sigil is a better dedicated epub editor that lets you edit the raw html and also converts it to a what-you-see-is-what-you-get editor for easy editing. If you open the epub in Sigil you should be able to easily copy the text elsewhere for translation.

So...technically, you can copy/paste from the RidiBooks mobile app through the Naver dictionary lookup function (highlight text + 검색 to get to the Naver dictionary page; then select all + copy from the search bar in the Naver dictionary app). I have never tested how much text you can search up at once, but I doubt you'll be able to get more than a few phone screens/pages at a time even if you have scroll view on. Again, I haven't tested it personally, but I'm fairly certain the same trick should work on the desktop version of the RidiBooks app too.

You can also send quotes through KakaoTalk/text message directly as text (or photos) from the RidiBooks mobile app (highlight text + 공융 > 텍스트로 공융) and just send it to yourself and copy it from there. I don't know if there is a limit on how long your quotes can be.

...Honestly, though, at this point you might as well learn how to type in Korean. The alphabet itself is pretty easy to learn.

I dont know if my method is any easier, but I view Ridibooks on my PC, take pix of each page, use Google Translate app on my phone to translate the images, copy the translations to gDrive, and repeat. Very tedious. I find that using Google Translate from a web browser may produce inconsistent translations (sometimes, very headache inducing), but so far, translating from my phone seems to give me the best output.

    I hope this can help
    (for android gadgets)

    1. Download google translate or Naver papago. I prefer Naver Papago.

    2. Open a novel in Ridibooks

    3. Select words to translate (word, phrase, sentence, etc.)

    4. Click Share
(after clicking "⋮" there will be a "share or 공 유" option)

    5. Click share as text
(click the hamburger "☰" but with more horizontal lines hahaha)

    6. Select google translate/Naver Papago

    7. Walah! There you have the translation!

(not the best translation but it can help)

I didnt try other options but i want to tell how i read. Probably you already knew this
Firstly I dont know how its happening for books. I only use this for chapters.
When i want to read a chapter in ridi I am using chrome and google giving me translate as an option. This way i can read chapter but i cant copy anything. If i want to google translate&copy option i adding this page ‘read later list’ and in the list i open it offline view version. Then i can translate.

If you got the .epub file, you can decrypt it using epubee drm removal and then OCR it.

You can turn the "toggle reader mode" like Safari for chrome. Just go copy and enter this: chrome://flags/#enable-reader-mode , enable it, and voila! you can copy the ridi texts from view > toggle reader mode
