Let me pose this thought to you:

Say you end up gaining powers equal to or greater than the god you met (the bug for example), can you still be considered a normal human at that point?

 

So he uses steroid and become a freak... still a human lol... doesn't change his fundamental physical makeups

 

But the thing is steroids =/= mana.

Now he still considered human.

But look at what happened to the fruit that absorbed a ton of mana.

They have so many benefits thats it insane.

Now imagine the same thing with a human saturated with mana?

What will he result into?

 

I'm only saying this because I only view mana as an energy source... it's never explained what effect it does to the body such as what you're probably thinking which increases his life span or something with your fruit example. Going by that logic, anyone with mana can live pass centuries or even millenniums...

 

Lets break it down even simpler then. he created a world even if it isnt that large yet. Can someone who can create a world still be a normal human with a normal lifespan?

remember, even the bug cant create a world from scratch. Your flaw is viewing mana only as an energy source. Consider everything piled into him due to various causes. he left the bracket of 'normal human lifespan' a long time ago.

As @moto said, you cant compare his situation with someone bulked up on steroids. but then that comes back to your flawed assumption that mana is just an energy source.

As for the effects of the mana on him, well if you've read enough of these types of stories, you can figure out the likely result.

 

There hasn't really been any humam examples of large mana pools that can make a separate dimension grow into a vast world. The closes individual would be the dragon slayer girl thats #1 on the adventure board list. I don't remember if they stated her age though.

The other example would be the demons who have large mana pools due to genetics. Think they live for a pretty long time but not sure if ita due to the mana exposure.

Japanese writers don't exactly write stories chasing after immortality with such a clear cut route. Well they do by making them into a deity but said characters don't chase after it like xian xia novels do. Where in xian xia their lifespan increases as they grow stronger. Thats a pretty clearcut method of gaining immortality. Just grow stronger.

Jap mcs go through a rigorous arc after arc of various means to gain immortality, be it granted by another god, gained through magical items, or created from expirmentation. But usually its on the backburner.

After i read some spoilers the more i think about mana and the authors system, it seems that mana fruits are like energy sport drinks not just because its hyped up on salt and sugar.

In a way @CrispyNoodle isn't technically wrong.

Its like the reason people are getting stronger and life being extended by the mana fruits is because they're topping off their limits.

Its like lets say your max capacity is 100. You eat a fruit that gives you 100 mana. Of course it will restore you to max capacity but where does the excess amount go? Its not like its gonna escape your body, its gonna get digested and circulated inside your body like a body reinforcement.
Compared to mana potions, the mana fruits are notably excessively stronger than a regular market sold potion.
The reason why people don't explode from eating a mana fruit. Due to excessive amount of mana being released/digested. I wouldn't really know.

Just a theory though.

Now the thing about our mc is, hes not topping off his mana, hes just expanding his capacity. basically doing the old shaman king hax, just die and revive for more mana capacity. Might as well label him the magic equivalent to the hulk. Just radiating with mana in his body. No idea how that effects his body really.
