I'm just curious on what energies everyone uses or mentions as the basis of their supernatural phenomena in their respective universe. The commonly used would always be mana, prana, qi, or lastly od. Sometimes miasma is also energy that can harnessed, and then we have dualism archetypes, then the elemental affinities. There are even rarer or stranger concepts of energy harnessed that very few know or are unaware of it. Are your definitions and nature of the energies mentioned above the same or do you have your own versions of each of them?
Hmm....if I were to create a fantasy novel, I would probably invent a name that doesn't exist and give it the meaning I want.

If I were to write a book. I would either use one of those terms or think about another name that hold the same principle of energy of the world. But to be honest Qi, mana and spirit are much more easy to be used since theirs names are more easily associated with elements or concepts.

Why can't you just use the forms of energy we already have and use those for your supernatural phenomena?
