Pretty much the majority of xianxia mc are *unique* from their entire world Sage Monarch- the mc goes on godly path. Battle Through the Heavens- mc eats heavenly flames to power up. Stellar Transformation- mc is on totally different path.
As someone who has not read those 3 novels, could you give examples of what you mean by a "different power"?
In Immortal Cultivation World the mc using magic. In Dou Qi and Magic World the mc is using Immortal Cultivation.. Different power system from others
I understand that this isn't what you're actually asking for, but can only think of stories that half do what you want. Reaper of the Martial World is one example. In that story, there's three sources of power one can train, called Body, Spirit and Energy Cultivation. Almost everyone focuses primarily on Energy Cultivation, and those who don't usually take it as their secondary source of growth, because it's difficult and time consuming to train the Spirit, and painful to train the Body, not to mention time consuming for both. The MC, however, is completely incompetent at Energy Cultivation, and thus focuses on Spirit Cultivation as his primary source of development, and takes up Body Cultivation as his secondary one. Immortal Mortal is also similar. Here, the MC is born on Earth without Spirit Roots, and studies for a long time to work out how to make a substance that would allow him to Cultivate. Upon succeeding, he is immediately assassinated, and reincarnates into the body of an adult in a world where cultivation is commonplace, still without Spirit Roots. After spending some time making enough money to buy the ingredients he needs, the MC remakes his Meridian Forming Formula (forget it's actual name), and uses that to develop the ability to actually cultivate. The Meridians that the MC uses are actually different enough from Spirit Roots that it comes up as notable a few times throughout the story, but, for the most part, the MC's powers are close enough to the local's that the fact he doesn't have Spirit Roots isn't recognised. World of Cultivation also fits a half-way to what you want field. In that story, the MC starts out relatively incompetent at the Cultivation Methods of Humans, despite being Human. Then he gets a Spiritual Adviser Type lodged in him, who teaches him the Cultivation Methods of the two Non-Human Species, which he's much more suited to, which in turn allows him to improve his Human Cultivation Growth Speed. In short, while most Humans specialise in their own Cultivation Type, or a modified variant of one of the two other species types, the MC uses the other two species type and supplements that Cultivation with the Human Type.
