I'd say it's quite more evident in this author's novels. In the dungeon one, he makes it very clear the MC has so much more potential than all others since he has S-class monsters whereas everyone else has B or A class monster at best. The author tries and fails to create an illusion of a struggle, when there clearly isn't one.
I kinda get the feeling that you are reading these novels with an odd mindset. These aren't wuxia novels, where the MC is on a training journey to achieve the pinnacle of strength. They are slow, relaxing, reads full of mofumofu, food, and fluff. I feel that the only reason that there even is any fights in these novels, is to act as a break from the slow-paced parts of the story. That being said, the fights might be unrealistic, but they're not the reason (at least for me) for reading these books.
