So I, uh... skimmed the ending. It's sort of an open ending, but MASSIVE SPOILERS if you're interested: Spoiler: SPOILER PREPARE YOUR TISSUES ML is alive but comatose. It's not known if he'll ever wake up. MC gave up his mortality as a trade with some OP figure to ensure that ML won't die. So as MC puts it, the day he dies is tomorrow but tomorrow will never come. MC is stuck unaging and undying, forever watching over ML's body and hoping that he'll wake up one day. ML is a nine-tailed demon fox. MC's first incarnation was as the princess who saved him (?) and taught him some life stuff, but MC in current incarnation is the one that ML fell in love with.
Angst?! This seems like it might have angst...and open ending?! Ughhh... *backing away after pressing watch thread* I'll watch but I won't participate...
I'd suggest reading it if you like supernatural stuff. It's actually not bad and the story spans around 270 chapters. The ending is the only thing that gut-punched me, since I like happy endings.
I'm not clicking on that ending spoiler. I want the pain to hit me full force after reading this, especially since I liked the first 10 chapters. //slides out//
