Venting about Wuxiaworld

Just wanted to complain about wuxiaworld for a bit. I love the site and they have a lot of great novels but they are NOT mobile friendly.
I frequently use my phone to read novels at work, and have a love/hate relationship with wuxiaworld. I occasionally have trouble with redirects to scam sites. Even when that doesn't happen, they eat up my data like nobody's business with all their self-refreshing video ads. And yet everything else about them is delightful.
Anybody else have this problem?

 

Them seem to have got better for me, then again I only read awe so I might not be noticing them much.
But yes they tended to be legit shit.

 

Sadly, ads are region specific. Since I have never been redirected
There might a few reasons for this

• Advertisers in your country prefer video ads. So they only pay for those
• Your internet provider is screwing you over and inserting ads into your device(Someone please teach me how to do this)
• You have a virus

Either which way Wuxiaworld's hands are actually tired.
Oh yeah bad advertisers and bad ads cause redirects

 

If you have a samsung you can download a browser that has a built in adblock, works for me

 

Yea this sounds like a you and your phone issue. I use Wuxiaworld's mobile view for a large majority of my day. I have never had to worry about redirecting ads or video ads. I would suggest clearing your phones browser and if that doesn't work uninstall and try again. Finally if that doesn't work, you need to find a way to check for viruses on your phone. With the new design the website is pretty friendly for me atleast.

 

Wanna be clear here, I don't blame the great WW, they do a great job of bringing me quality translations for free while remaining legit. I am just a little frustrated, you know?

 

This is why people use adblock. I recommend uBlock origin for Android+Firefox users.

 

That always frickin happens to me
I have to load a page then once the words pop up i chock "X" to stop the page from loading any further, then watch the reload symbol like a hawk to see if It'll reloading something else
Then start reading

 

I usually switch browser when I'm reading novels because a lot of websites redirect, have video ads or just reload for some reason. Switching to a a browser with adblock and turning off javascript usually fixes these problems.

 

My problem with wuxiaworld is that I cant post or read any comment in mobile version.

 

I use firefox mobile + reader mode. Works like a charm. (FireFox Mobile also allows extensions so if you do want to use adblock, you can as well)

 

I have a similar problem of being redirected I understand your pain.

 

I personally enable airplane mode as soon as the text finishes loading.

 

use Firefox install add on called uBlock problem solved.

 

another way is to load the page then immediately switch to airplane mode. I had the same problem with redirects and airplane mode doesn't allow them to happen if you use it right away.

 

Weird I don't have any trouble using WW site, I'm using a iPad on Safari with no ad block.

 

Yeah, comments are messed up. You have to use desktop mode.
It's like one word per like at times lol

 

Turn off javascript on your phone, it makes it better.

 

My biggest problem is since the website update it is a pain in the ass to find the novel you want to read !!!I

So I have totally given up and have to use NU to find the novel and link through.
