Honestly there's hardly any heartwarming stuff translated so far. Maybe My weapon shop uncle? Guy takes care of a little girl. Maybe To Aru Majutsu No Index? It does have heartwarming moments but its only small..hmm Its hard to think of one that gives you the feels huh?

 

Well, if you want details of their life, read them from the beginning. If you want to read novel after you watch the anime, read from vol. 7. 'cause anime just covered half of the vol. 7.

Cute story and MC. A bit gender-bender but don't worry. It doesn't become main focus. The focus is MC's crafting life, his (noticeably) cute interaction and many more.

I read OSO, but I didn't feel the story since he was mostly bullied by girls because of having a girl character even though you can only use your own gender, like SAO (LOL)

About Death March, I also find most of it heartwarming, but I find the MC unlikable, so I stopped reading it.
(The part when a village? was invaded by a lvl 60ish Demon Lord and all he did was snipe magic from a safe place while her loli harem is in danger. Who wouldn't like that?)

Yeah, but he let his harem in danger, as if he wanted to move in a critical moment just to impress people (Like Itsuki in Tate No Yuusha). I hate that kind of characters

For The New Gate, I felt that the only part I can see that is the reunion of MC and her Support NPC(Elf, I think)

 

He just want them to be able to protect themselves, so he's trying to be not overprotective of them

 

But its not like they really get in danger. Satou can save them any time it is needed, and they are also very capable of protecting themselves.
