Alright sooo here's the thing, Rezef and Cayena both weren't given love in their childhood in the palace. Razef was especially hated by the Emperor and he would occasionally show it to Razef making him sad and lonely. As being the oldest, Cayena would show her love to Rezef and as Rezef, thirsty for affection, becomes obsess with Cayena. He becomes so obsess that he doesn't want Cayena to show her affection to anyone other than him. But Cayena in 1st time line falls in love with Raphael and shows her love to him that made a crack in her relationship with Razef. Razef started hated Cayena as she wouldn't spend as much time with him as she used to do that led him using her as a marionette for the throne (As it was publicly known that Rezef is an illegimette child of the Emperor so Cayena has a upper hand in succession of throne). So he didn't have any regrets selling Cayena to the Viscount and even in the current time line he is using her to build power because Cayena has transmigrated in the Timeline when she started showing her affection for Raphael publicly.
