Spoiler: 54-60 Ayla finds Charlotte whose hair and eye colour have been changed by the girl who sold her.Charlotte doesn't recognise Ayla. In the novel she is bought by the Duke of Trania who was asked to infiltrate the casino by the CP.He fell in love at first sight and becomes obsessed with her and locks her up. Later he finds out her identity and kneels in front of her asking for forgiveness.His family had been neutral for generations but now he sides himself with the CP.At this point of the story Charlotte hasn't confessed yet. After this incident CP starts to clean up the night street. Ayla buys Charlotte and a beast man(?) who is in the cage next to her. He is a chief of some tribe and was 'roaring' at Ayla for buying Charlotte Ayla bribes the manager to let her meet the duke.The duke doesn't recognise Charlotte. Ayla makes her drink a potion which lets Charlotte speak again and get back her actual appearance. The duke thinks Ayla was responsible for the kidnapping but Charlotte defends her. Charlotte also says that she doesn't understand why Ayla saved her and the male slave who had been nice to her. She says that she hoped there was no malicious intent behind Ayla's action. Ayla is surprised because it seems that she is being blamed instead of being defended. This makes the duke even more convinced that Ayla is to blame. Ayla doesn't like being treated as a criminal but understands her actions can be suspicious. Slaves are identified by a black necklace which cannot be removed as it has been enchanted to explode.It can be destroyed only by destroying the certificate linked with it.She could have informed the staff of Charlotte's identity and destroyed the certificate instead of buying the deed and making Charlotte wear the necklace.But Ayla is still annoyed that the duke who had kept Charlotte imprisoned in the books is the one blaming her. When the duke insults her, Ayla stops him by saying that if they destroy the deeds of the bond Charlotte will be freed but they won't get a chance to destroy the casino.She says that if Charlotte accepts CP's confession within the guarantee period of the slavery bond ( around 1 month), then they will be able to destroy the night street for harming the crown princess' honour. Charlotte doesn't want to go along with the plan and tries to hide behind the duke who on the other hand is apologetic and asks Ayla how can she let go of the man she loved. Ayla says that her pursuing CP even when he didn't love her was a type of abuse to him. The duke and Ayla both try to convince Charlotte telling her to think of the innocents and of the CP who has to wait endlessly for her answer. Charlotte diverts the subject to the male slave. She says that she doesn't want to believe the rumours about Ayla but is worried about the guy who helped her. Ayla thinks that Charlotte is actually trying to portray her as the villain. With the helpof a candle she burns his certificate of slavery and says that she sincerely Wants to save everyone someday much to Charlotte's shock. Killian is confused as he was the one who was holding the slave's leash before it disappeared.Ayla actually wanted to tell him before burning the certificate. Thinking that Charlotte is still suspicious of her, Ayla proceeds to tear up her certificate in half before handing it over to her.Charlotte's necklace falls off. Ayla says the writing on the certificate can still be understood so it can act as evidence. Also tracking magic could be used to detect the presence of magic. She asks Charlotte to confess to the CP and leaves. Charlotte is thinking about how no one is paying attention to her the way they used to do. The day of the ball when she was dancing with CP, Septimus meets them. He is very cocky because he is supposed to be the best sorceror in the empire.He looks like he has just been in a fight but says that it was unilateral. He calls out Charlotte's name, who in turn touches his cheek making CP jealous. Septimus tells Werner about beings who reject death. He talks of ancient myths and about the destruction of the world, but doesn't say anything conclusive.They start to quarrel and Charlotte thinks that they are fighting over her but Septimus laughs and says that that is a misunderstanding. He tells her that she was surrounded by mana when they first met and states that she is a being loved by the world. Charlotte thinks he is confessing to her. She decides to say that she is grateful but can't think of anything right now. But before she can answer ,Septimus says that he wants to stop here. He talks of eternal love and of finding his own lover before leaving. Charlotte is angry for being spurned even if she had no intention of accepting his confession.She thinks that she is so adorable that every outstanding thing should belong to her. She thinks Ayla has taken everything from her. She took Polan's attention. The man who she was curious about (Killian) happened to be her butler. Even the CP pays more attention to her after the wine throwing incident. Charlotte cannot fight so she relies on different weapons. She was prepared to act all pitiful during the ball but instead of attacking her, Ayla ended up attacking the CP. She thinks that the CP has become very neglectful towards her and the duke also looks at her in a very disappointed . He told CP about what happened in the casino. Charlotte is very anxious and is biting her nails. CP stops her and is worried about her, something which finally makes her happy. She asks about her family and the CP promises to send for them sooner. She wants to visit them, crossing the balk mountains.The CP is worried about monsters which appeared near the forest.When divine power decreases or when magic power increases, the number of monsters also increase.The latter is true in this case as the temple hasn't been affected. CP feels that something is very wrong.He finally says that Charlotte can only go with Lennox as her escort. CP tells her that an envoy is coming from the kingdom of Karham. They want to push for his marriage with their princess.He reassures Charlotte that he will refuse the proposal but has to be careful since Karham is an important port.Charlotte is confused because she thinks that whatever the situation he should take care of her first. She asks him about sending Lennox as an escort. Since he used to be so reluctant to let her be near any other man. He answers that Lennox values his knighthood over his own life and will not let any harm befall on her A month has passed. Ayla and Polan have been working on a gold coloured empire line dress for the princess. Cordelia loves the dress and wears it at the imperial ball. Many dress orders pour in for Ayla who has to now set up a real dressing room. She decides to make a zipper, something that makes Polan consider her to be a revolutionary genius. Polan is still trying to make her sign a contract with him. Charlotte has still not given an answer to CP much to Ayla's anger who thought the loop problem could be solved by now. In the novel Charlotte is attacked while crossing the mountain and nearly falls off a cliff. Lennox hugs her and they both jump off falling into a lake. He is injured and she takes care of him in a nearby cave. Ayla is worried about how she is going to tell Killian about this when she has already told him about the loop happening next spring. He will be suspicious if she says that God showed her a revelation late. He was already suspicious about her knowledge of the casino incident.So she tells him that now she doesn't only see info about the loops but also about Charlotte's actions.Killian sighs and agrees to go along with her plan but tells her that as her lies accumulate his patience will end too and she will have to handle the situation then
