chapter 289 glad to see that the novel is not about "you killed my bro(ig) so my guild will become your canon fodder"
why doesnt dusty cloud do the smart thing with silver moon? dont kill him so he cant respawn, trap him in a building and make sure he cant commit suicide, give him a preist to heal him while they take turns stabbing at him
Because in-game pain isn't unbearable. This ain't one of those Web novels where people can set the pain threshold to some crazy amount for reasons unknown (why would anyone want to play a game where torturous pain is a possibility). Dusty Cloud wants a more permanent pain, something that comes from losing progress and levels.
I didn't mean torture him to cause pain, i mean stabbing him to vent anger, punching bag for the players Him dying isn't permanent either, he can level up again. Keeping him locked up is permanent since he can't play the game anymore
Ch-320+ Obviously, some guild at Linyin City (or thereabouts) got a guild quest to stop Traversing Four Seas/Yunduan City's guild quest. I wonder how long they had to wait at this jungle before Yunduan City group arrived.
Well, CCM is a completed work that started 2008 and ended around 2011. I don't read Martial Gamer, but all I can say about CCM is that it definite has issues with pacing. But because the author has such a good sense of writing and doesn't OP power up MC, it must be treated less like the current MMO webnovels out there that is about looting and mayhem PvP, and more of a fun journey with quirky characters.
same guy that pretty much planned how to sell out Gu Fei's identity to people for coin. I would say it's just Young Master Han being the one without honor (i.e. playing the game like how the true average gamer games lol)
Cliffed at ch 370. Gu Fei finally meets fighter class people that understand his love for martial arts(kung fu) I wanna know more!!!
So these chapters with Southern Lone Blade, I've learned that blocking with a shield doesn't negate the received attack. It just reduces attack's damage instead.
That's true though. It only reduces the dmg slightly, only a successful block which is mostly a skill in a game with a long cool down have the fully damage blocking system.
I haven't read Sword God VRMMO, but Virtual World Close Combat Mage is one of my favorites. You have to treat this novel like watching a slap-stick sit-com. Don't think too much about the plot because this novel is comedic banter first and action second. Just enjoy the silliness as the characters around the MC taunt and ridicule each other as they get into and out of interesting situations.
So jut like martial arts mmorpg?? That qidian novel is a slapstick type but is more martial arts heavy influenced.
No. While the gimmick for this novel is that the MC adapts his kung fu expertise to the VRMMO's attack skills which gives him a "hidden" advantage over the normal gamers, it is not the focus of the story. Plus the comedy here is more in the vein of teasing and smack talk (this is a pvp game). There is occasional light scheming, but it's for game strategy (again, this is a pvp game), rather than the true schemes to screw someone over with a life and death scenario you'd find in a typical cultivation novels.
