I've pirated a few with English patches in the past, but I don't read them often. I just don't find them as engaging as video games, Anime, or Light Novels. Of course there's a few that does stand out.

I can't remember the ones that I've played in the past beside for MuvLuv Alternative, but the recent one that I've played is Eden* Plus. I do plan on picking a few up when they become cheaper or on sale, but not anytime soon. I am glad that steam is selling Visual Novels on their platform, but I wish the developers would also offer/sell an adult dlc patch on their own website, lol.

If there's an adult version, I always op to purchase it instead. But I really like the steam-cloud for save files since I have a pc and a laptop with windows 10. using remote desktop on tablet to read comfortably in my hands =p

I kind of remember about this indie vn. I don't remember the main story, but i remember that
    • There are two love interests. One of them is either a childhood or neighbor girl.
    • You could fight some shadow (the lowest lv. Ones are spider, then snake) in the forest.
    • You could not fight monster at all and choose to live normal live.
    • There's cellphone function to get message from your
    • You/the love interest died in several bad end
    • It's modern, highschool life.
    • Jpn art style. No idea if it's really jpn or oel. Most likely oel
Anyone ever read something like this?

I wonder if anyone plays VN's KN's or Otome Games here?

So I maded thread, where people can talk about what they had played, or what be good to play.

Since I haven't played it for a long time, and almost only play the free ones, I want to know any new ones I haven't played

    What is a:
    VN mean Visual Novels
It's a game with pictures, music and a story to read, the player can make drifferens choices under the gameplay, lead to more then one endings
    KN mean kinetic novel
It same as VN's, but the player can't make any chose, and you can only get one ending.
I think it same as VN's, with romance as genre and the player will play as the MC to get the love interest.

    My favorite will always be

    • Doppelganger: Dawn of the Inverted Soul from AzureXtwilight
    • Re:Set series from AzureXtwilight
    • Fantasia series from AzureXtwilight
    • Frozen Essence from Unbroken Hours
    • Princess of Ruin from Unbroken Hours
    • X-Note from Zeiva Inc
    • Area-X from Zeiva Inc
This are the one I remember best.
    All of them are VN's

I will recommend lemmasoft homepage to find more VN's

It has VN's made by the user themself, in groups or alone

I think to find a good VN is like to find a good novel in a library

I have to say Otome games fall under the category of Visual Novels, however much we would like to segregate them.

Umineko and Rewrite are probably my favorites.

Saya no Uta was intriguing but I felt kind of terrible after finishing it because of the decisions made.

Little Busters is a very good one as well, love the focus on friendship. And then Air turned me into a sobbing baby.

It kinda takes an open minded person to play Saya no Uta. Being able to understand and respect another perspective is an very important element in playing the game. Personally I find the game very impactful, albeit the complicated feelings it left me.

Travel back in time then, because back then the translator hasn't decided to work with the game company.

Unless of course you're a legit paying fan of VN works
