who here loved the warcraft series but hated how wow ruined wc3

imagine warcraft 4 , i still have my dream, never cared for wow, warcraft 3 was my childhood, and i still play it, custom maps

Those models are so detailed compared to the old ones its amazing looking.

 

Ehhh good to hear, but I still like the old models much better. The heroes in the new don't look too bad though. maybe.

 

i still whip out w3 and w2 every now and then. classics stay classics and this revamping will probably be cool

tbh, if they didn't kick jass in the nuts with their update around v3.14, there would have been much more goin on with wc3. WoW's hardly to blame for this one, they just didn't like the freedom people had with the editor.

 

Pick Orc make around 20 grunt and rush for enemy based... My usual tactic XD... 10 minute win usually... until my friends banned that tactic and asked for 30 min truce.

 

• Didn't actually show any elves in the clip, curious ?
• Mentioned overhaul of campaigns, in what way ?
• Price ?
• Unless they also update battle.net (well, they've got SC2 so they could just copy that server browser, and they've got some maps there already, so they could use them) and allow world editor a lot, it might just be a short time fun and not become longtime online fun with everything old WC3 offered

the editor's the biggest part, imo. if they don't give it back all the features it originally had, all you're really able to do is create a bunch of basic maps and laughable custom "quests". let alone maps like DotA, the amount of things people could do with access to JASS was simply amazing. custom skins so you play as characters like pikachu, megaman, or cloud, random battles similar to old school turn based games, wasd movement, and even first person cameras were possible. once they took away the ability to do things like that, WC3 was done for.

 

I preferred they continue the story arc of prince arthas(?) not just better graphic.

 

Would be cool if they add a new expansion pack for both the Humans, Night Elves(Also Blood Elves), Orcs, and the Scourge.

 

This looks pretty neat, I'm looking forward to it~

I don't think WoW ruined Warcraft though, like... Sure, it did a terrible job at Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King, and it also completely destroyed the possibility of a Wc4, but... There are many nice things that happened in WoW, you just need to ignore the game and go straight to the WoW wiki... It's really funny how unimportant the players are in the whole story~ *giggles*
