I'm going to be honest here, that was one disappointingly short ending. Also the whole idea of; maik character actually isn't eternal anyway jokes on you hahaha. Is terribly dull of an ending I must admit. Don't get me wrong I love WMW, and I've had lots of enjoyment reading it, but that ending was sucky. For a guy who claimed that he wanted to live forever so that he could finally spend time enjoying life, it sure as hell did not focus on him enjoying himself at all. Edit: I'm sorry I forgot the obviously very well deserved praise for the hard work of OMA and co. Thank you very much for the lovely translation work, and very good luck in the future.
Congratulations to everyone, and I have almost 400 chapters to catch up. In three months, it will be World of Cultivation and Battle through the Heavens which will end...
Ever since he started collecting laws left & right it felt like the author had an actual deadline he couldn't cross and everything got rushed :< But well it ended now, anyone know how the new novel from the author played out? (besides the whole qidian drama)
I called it. Knew he was just gonna get unleashed upon the multiverse where he is just another scrub. Although I would have liked to see the epilogue include what his relatives and "colleagues" are doing.
Indeed for a character who always pursued inmortality so ge could enjoy himself forever, that sure was a boring end, honestly I would've prefered if the AI chip betrayed him by the end and robbed him of everything, but no the author was not very creative with regards to the end.
It's the thing where there's always more out there. This basically the same ending as ISSTH. You want your MC to be the strongest there and then find out there's more out there. Leylin's goal has always been to find out more. Leaving him in a state where he does nothing is not good for anyone
People are complaining because a narrative finished properly...? what? His goal was to reach immortality, and he attained it. Yes, the ending was rushed, but Leylin achieved his ultimate goal, which is something I can rarely say. The whole, "There are new universes" is only there just in case the author wanted to write a sequel. Did you hear how many monikers he has at the end? He's already near end game for any universe, or else the author would have said something like, "There were even existences that Leylin could not fathom," as opposed to what we got, which was, "Leylin felt similar auras to his own in these other universes."
Well if you read the earlier chapters the stort constantly reminds us that leylin cannot just enjoy life as his life is limited, but now that it's unlimited he also suddenly can't though for a different reason. But yeah I got the end of ISSTH vibe too.
he didn't attaint true immortality. Code: “Eternity… Are rank 9s truly eternal?” Leylin knew he had unlimited life. Even if the Magus World and World of Gods were destroyed, he would not be affected at all. However, this was only within his own universe. goal not accomplished yet.
So his new goal is to be the overlord of every universe. He still attained his first goal. I don't remember him saying, "I am in pursuit of immortality in every universe." Pretty sure when he said he wanted to be eternal, it was explicitly for his universe; I mean he didn't even realise there were other universes.
Perhaps because the overall goal has been reached/main enemy defeated or that zone/plotlines have been cleared That shouldn't be the end of the MC's and his adventures I don't like it as much and prefer things to wrap up. I am satisfied with this ending tho
he did didn't he? as for the final paragraph isn't it just saying he goes around devouring other universe in order to expand the range of his immortality via devouring and assimulating them with his? felt different from Issth for me, since in that theres still more to explore and mysterys unsolved, while in WMW, you know his just going around devouring more things.
