Discussion Watermarks in Manga's.

Lately I have been reading a manga after a long time away from that kind of reading and I came across some nasty as hell watermarks right in the middle of the page covering up images. Now I haven't been into manga for quite a while, years really (thought I do reread some every now and again nothing new just old stuff I've read), but even back then 2010~2012 there were watermarks on some of the more popular manga. I get why, translators want to protect their work specially if it's been taken and posted elsewhere without the sites permission. Still to come across a massive watermark smack right in the middle of the page is annoying as fuck and pisses me right off. I remember back then they were mostly in a corner usually in a white space left at the bottom adding a bit of size to the page just for the watermark, but apparently since then at least this manga has taken to posting a watermark the size of a panel right in the middle of the page, is this not disgusting? I want to hear opinions on this so I can come to terms with it or fucking rage more.

 

What manga was it?

 

The Battle Through The Heavens manga, they have blurry watermarks smacked right in the middle of their pages, and a stamp at the bottom corners telling where to read usually, but the stamp is out of the way the watermark is the annoying thing.

 

Where you reading it at mangadoom? or somewhere else

 

That sounds retarded, they should just put watermark on the blank part. The aggregators won't be removing it because it requires to be done manually.

 

Putting a watermark in the blank part is easy to remove. You have to overlay it over content to make it far harder to excise.

 

Are you using aggregator or the translation website? Maybe it''s one of those watermarks that only appeared at aggregators

Could be, but I'm reading it at the site that the stamp at the corner advertises so unless someone went and removed the original stamp and replaced it with their own and then still posted it on their site with the stamp then it shouldn't be there.

They should still put it on a corner even if it's still on the page itself, it's jarring as fuck to read and be assaulted with the same blurry watermark stuck right in the middle of the page covering scenes with it's blurry self.

 

Then you should read it on the site that they advertised.

It's pretty weird I just went to read the latest ch and I don't see a watermark, could you maybe post what you are seeing?

 

I believe <deleted> isn''t aggregator, but yeah the watermark is on every page lol

 

Ask them to change the watermark to a proper one.

 

It is an aggregator and a mod should come and edit all of these replies.

Though I just noticed the watermark and the stamp are from different sites something I didn't see before. The stamp is to read at readmanga.today and the watermark is from Kuman.com checked that site and it seems that its the provider of the raws since it's all in Chinese.

 

Jesus my brain just went ahead and ignored the watermark it took me a solid minute to notice it

 

Seems like all you can do is to deal with it then...

@R0 apparently so, guess it's blurry as fuck because the site that translates it is trying to blur it when they post it since they seem to be taking their raws from the site that puts the watermark there.
