Will, angry at Grog (he's the one that causes mischief!), decides to get back at him. He notices Grog and Bobo leaving together, staring up, at the birds; deciding the traps he tried making before was good (IT caused him much hurt), and not wanting Grog to notice, he digs a hole. It was slow going, using his hands (and hurts them too), so he tried using the sticks and rocks -- Knowledge of tools Obtained -- That was better (it doesn't hurt as much), and faster, but not by much, and some of the sticks broke. He got tired after digging the hole, to about an arm's length. Looking over his work, and it didn't look like it would hurt Grog, like Grog hurt him, so he added some of his sharp rocks and broke sticks in them. -- Spiked pitfall obtained. -- Thinking this is enough, he hid, waiting for Grog to step in it. -- Knowledge of Stealth learnt.
Little Surah is getting tired of that brat Maiya wasting meat by throwing it in her precious (fire), and wishes she would develop better aim. The raw meat starts smelling divine before it starts to burn, and so Surah takes some of her own raw meat from dinner, and puts it on a stick. She waits for the smell before taking the stick out and takes a bite. It is hot! But Little Surah cares not for her poor burnt tongue because the meat tastes too good now! She takes it to her father, Jimrah, and he proclaims it cooked meat! They share it with the village chief, who then tells them of the unfortunate fate of Babarah. They mourn her death by cooking more meat!
Rida is the mother of Little Surah. She watches the cave while her husband hunts and has recently started cooking the meat her family has over Surah's fire. Recently, Surah has given Rida a dark chunk of crumbly rock. "Meat stay in fire too long, make black rock. Black rock no taste good. Made Surah sick. Have black rock. Surah no like." Rida only took the black rock to assure her daughter she'd get rid of it...but Rida had been a bit bored lately only cooking meat and watching the cave. With a sudden spark of inspiration. Rida takes up rock throwing, like the late Babarah. With a mighty grunt, Rida shows the black rock who's boss! Interestingly, it leaves a black smudge on the cave wall and breaks into three seperate pieces. Using her thumb and some spit, Rida tries to get rid of the smudge....but it spreads instead! Looking at it closer, Rida thinks it kind of looks like the big round thing in the sky at night. Intrigued and no longer bored, Rida picks up one of the pieces of charcoal, and adds her cave to the picture.
Maiya was annoyed because the meat she threw at at Little Surah ended up causing that annoying girl to become famous in the village. ...That was totally her idea! She was the first one to throw meat in a fire! Maiya was annoyed, and she wanted to level up her evil antics. Maiya didn't really understand how fire worked, but Maiya wanted to break it. She took a stick and tried to hit the fire to smush it, it was completely ineffective! In fact, the stick caught on fire and it became a burning stick. Terrified, Maiya ran around the cave village like crazy person. In her panic, she ran deep into a cave... but wait! Now she could see! And also the rocks deep in the cave have a weird color, and some of them are shiny. However, the stick rapidly burned down and Maiya dropped the burning stick. Then, the light went out and Maiya was stuck deep inside a dark cave. .............. uwu ...scary...
Marlo the Barbarian was throwing rocks as a test of strength, upon seeing one of the rocks cracked in half and touching the edge, he cuts his hand. Marlo discovers 'Cut Cut Rock' it helps him to cut animals apart.
Little Surah was staring at her fire in wonder like she did almost every day, when a familiar flash caught her eye. It was that troublesome Maiya! The one who wasted meat! She had some how created a way to transport fire! Awed, intrigued, and even a little jealous- Surah hopped up and ran as fast as her little feet would enable. Alas! She tracked Maiya to a dark cave no one had explored yet, and did not dare go farther! For Surah was scared of the dark, and could not see the fire Maiya had carried. Did the fire consume Maiya? Did the cave?! Surah wasn't willing to find out, and so waited by the cave, and ate dandilion heads she had picked from the ground. Growing bored, she started to loop the stems around themselves... It was interesting enough that she eventually worked out how to connect them into a circle, something she immediately put on her head. Surah idly wondered if Maiya would show her how to make the moving fire for one of these flowercrowns.
Zaiyan is Maiya’s elder brother. When Maiya didn’t come home for dinner today, he went around asking if anyone had seen her. Someone said that she had run into a cave waving a stick, so Zaiyan went looking for her. Fortunately, Zaiyan was not scared of the dark, and eventually he found his sister. When they came home, Maiya cried for the rest of the day and didn’t talk to anyone else.
Why did this game remind me of Doodle God 2? Oh well, I might come later to read more of this evolution
Silta was an old hag who mostly spent her life picking blueberries. However, picking berries was troublesome because there was no good way to carry them. Sometimes she used a big leaf to hold berries, but it was only slightly better than using her hands. One day she saw Little Surah making flower crowns. How pretty! Old Silta asked if she could join Little Surah. However, Silta was old and her clumsy hands were not as dextrous as the younger girl. She struggled to make flower crowns. Slightly disappointed, Silta started to practice on straw instead of using flowers. Although she tried her best, Silta was only able to twist straw back and forth. She tried this for many days and still saw no improvement. However, one day some of the straw ended up in a criss-cross shape... which for some odd reason helped the straw stay together. How strange! Old Silta tried to study why the criss-cross straw stayed together... and she discovered the plain weave method! By alternating straw in a criss-cross fashion, Old Silta gradually ended up making a Straw Mat! Wasn't this nice? It seemed more comfy than sitting on hard rock all the time. It was much better for her poor old bones!
Jojo is a barbarian who likes to spent time near the water. On a daily basis, she watches the tide. When it gets to low tide, she walks out onto the shallows and looks for little depressions in the bank. Some areas have lots and lots and lots! In either case, when there is a lot, she uses her hand and digs for clams. After digging a bunch, she carries them home on a straw mat.
Everyone thought Jonny Halfwit was an idiot. Day after day he sat under the same apple tree and pondered the existense of life. "Hey, look at Jonny. He big dumb. Sit under tree all day and not go hunt. No meat mean no wife, and no wife mean no-" But Jonny didn't really care what they said about him. He was on to something, sitting under the apple tree, he just hadn't found what it was yet. Until one day, as he was sitting under said tree- he was struck from above! It was an apple, and it had split perfectly in half. The two halves sat innocently on the ground in front of him, leaving only two of its seeds tangled in his hair. Eureka! He thought, mind filling with half remembered memories of discarding rotting fruit, only to return years later to find a fully grown tree in its place. Seeds! That was the key! The answer he had been waiting for! Jonny spent the rest of his life planting apple seeds, eventually marrying the chief's daughter. Their village was remembered as prosperous, and his name was even changed to Jonny Seedapple in honor of all his contributions.
Today, Maiya was feeling a bit better, albeit shaken. Being in a dark cave was scary! She didn’t really want to cause trouble today so she went back to gathering nuts and berries as usual. She noticed some of the ladies dragging around straw mats full of stuff, and Maiya was awed because that seemed useful! Better than carrying things in leaves. There were a lot of acorns on the ground, and squirrels seemed obsessed with eating them — so Maiya wondered if acorns could be human food too. For now, she went ahead and collected a bunch of acorns.
Note: I changed the rules to limit one new major discovery per character The idea is to encourage RP and continual use of characters. The rule is flexible though, so it’s okay to bend it a little. Just don’t make an Newton-Eistein-Hawkings all-in-one super genius character.
Zuzu is Maiya’s little brother. Similar to his elder sister, he is a troublemaker. He likes to pick up sticks, wave them around, and hit people. A lot time ago he discovered that dead sticks are boring because they are too rigid and snap easily. Instead, the best kinds of sticks are saplings, because they are flexible and won’t break if Zuzu hits people with them. Recently he has been cutting willow saplings with sharp rocks and running around hitting the other kids with them.
Jojo was digging freshwater mussels today, when she noticed there was this shiny goopy sticky gray stuff exposed on the banks of the stream she was in. It was a different texture than regular mud or sand, so she decided to dig some up and bring it home. Jojo discovered clay on an eroded stream bed. The natural clay was quite impure and filled with lots of gravel and sand. However, she enjoyed kneading it because it could shaped into odd arrangements. For example, she made a blob-like clay figurine. When it dried, it would hold its shape -- unless it rained -- in which case the clay figures would disintegrate. Jojo made a habit of storing her clay figurines inside her cave so they wouldn't disintegrate when it rained.
Maiya saw Little Surah making Flowercrowns one day and she was secretly envious! The cave incident scared Maiya quite a lot, so Maiya had stopped being a troublemaker. In a sense, she had matured slightly and focused a little bit more on gathering wild fruits and vegetables these days. Watching her little brother Zuzu running around like an immature brat only caused Maiya to shake her head haughtily. Her younger brother was such a baby! Maiya was an adult now and Maiya wanted to emphasize her adult-ness and maturity as proudly as she could!
