Question Western names in Chinese novels

I plan to dig a new hole which is set in pre-war and WW2 England(people who read a lot of Chinese bl probably know which novel this is already). In the novel, the ML's name is 安德蒙, which is spelled out in raw and in English as Andemund. This is rare and I am thinking of changing it to the more common Edmund and making a note about it...What do you think? Everyone else in the novel has a very normal western name.

Never heard of anyone being named Andemund. Edmund, on the other hand, is quite common, and has variants like Edmond (French), Edmundo (Spanish), etc.

I'd simplify it to Andemon rather than add that D. That said, just cause 'Edmond' looks clean, that doesn't mean it's correct. Take Battle Frenzy. There's a girl, Laura, but the raws make it closer to Lola instead. It was fine to use Laura atm, but then a character with the actual name of 'Laura' appears later on and that's awkward... (just switch and no one's the wiser~~)
