Multiple choices would really be better.
Aint fond of story with yaoi/yuri. It might happen for a few characters but cant be the center.
But (and that was my choice) what I chose was main character. Dont like when MC changes too suddenly, or act in dumb ways.
Also dont like when there is too muchcheat for character. He gotta be hardworking. Leylin Farlier (WMW) had the artificial chip, but that was from beginning and he did work hard to improve it. And most of his sucess is due to his cold and calculative mind than chip.
One thing I didnt like in DD 01 was precisely that #SPOILLER: After becoming Seagod, Tang San pratically abandoned all his previous bluesilver grass skills to use the Seagod Trident Arts.

Yeah, the very fact that you can give it a fair shot means the guns are at least half decent. Why drop it?

No multi choice? Lacking choices?! I’m dropping this poll!!! :blobcat_hyper:

    Seriously though...
    1. Extreme nationalism.
    2. Extreme racism.
    3. Brain dead Mc/characters.
    4. Authors giving certain unlikeable villains too much plot armor.
    5. Stupid shit that happens because the author wants drama or some retarded reason.
    6. Can’t think of anything else atm.
Lots of reasons to drop a novel/manga.

I’m fine with nationalism for fictional nations as long as it’s not too extreme.

I’m fine with some light racism as long as it not so serious.

I might stop reading a novel if:
    • someone forgives something unforgivable
    • abuse, rape or trauma victims really behave like all is fine and normal
    • an important character is all-knowing and benevolent in an annoying way
    • main romance is forbidden and forever in the maybe hell
    • there are no consequonces or the history is forgotten
    • there are many boring chapters without anything interesting

Spoilers maybe? Like people say the ending SUCKS! And you're like; "I'm not going to read all 1230 chapters to end with no pay off."

Firstly, I have done so when I hadn't experienced enough of them to know better, and there were other aspects that I was interested in at the time. Secondly, I also tend to read as a coping mechanism for the stress and anxiety issues I deal with so I'm not always as picky about potential bad flags for my reading experience which has lead me to reading something I really ought to have known better than to read in the first place.

the biggest thing that has made me drop anything is bad editing, especially when it gets so bad you have to translate it in to English again (as in trying to guess where adjectives and conjunctions should go for example) and are still like "what just happened here?", that's the biggest reason I dropped stuff next to loss of interest from repetitiveness

Where you like more the second lead than the male lead ( or female lead) and wish that he/she end up with the mc but this is hopeless.

Well...perhaps. But the whole story was built on soul masters gathering soul rings with the best abilities, and making best strategy to use them. I felt Tang San lost some of his control master coolness in exchange of becoming a divine brawler. Not that he still isnt using hus brain to fight, but thats the impression I got.

while you're at it let's add "god of slaughter" to the list the mc kills everyone that offends or tries to kill unless its a female then he has sex with them and they automatically becomes his woman. Chaotic sword god where the mc unnecessarily creates enemies for himself everywhere he goes the mc of MGA that turns into the villian and arrogant young master he spent the first 900s fighting against
